We were a group of 10 people. The unit has 5 very spacious rooms in total; 3 with attached balcony with the view of Sleeping Buddha - Mt Kanchenjunga if the sky is clear. Rabten , Aunty, Alex worked really hard to ensure we have a good experience and we did. He gave contacts for day trip and we had a nice outing. The food cooked at home was tasty, fresh and the rates are very nominal. Bottled water is available and need not be carried additionally. Wash room is clean, enabled with modern amenities and 24 hrs hot water is available. We had a nice outing and would like to thank Rabten for this great experience .

If there ever was a paradise lost, never fret because you'll find it again here. A home away from home nestled amidst pristine pine and fern canopy hugged by the mountains - Rabten and his warm family made every bit of our stay in kalimpong a moment to cherish. We were properly spoiled with cooked food (sumptuous), spacious beds and copious rooms, a view to behold, misty mountain weather that transported us to a fantasy novel, a brilliant hall room to congregate and singalong. Rabten personally ensured we had all the right contacts and logistics sorted out for our sight seeing and transport. Rabten's mum was extremely generous to us, and kind. His crew were engaging and always available to help and assist. I would strongly recommend the homestay, and we definitely made friends here whom we want to visit again, soon!

If you want to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city, want to wake up to amazing sights available right from the balcony while being immersed in the culture and hospitality of the hills, Kelong is the place. It's not just about the amenities or ticking off check boxes from your to-do list, but being in a place that feels like a home away from home while witnessing the everyday life that is quite different to yours, completes this experience. We were a group of 10 people, spread across 4 generations staying for a week, yet Rabten and his family could make us all feel comfortable, irrespective of our distinct needs and quirks. The host is a gem of a person with whom you can chill, discuss about anything under the sun and avail support about anything and everything at any given point of time(even after you have checked out!!-he helped us with our vehicle trouble right after leaving kalimpong). So do not think twice before embracing this experience.

Very good hospitality and gestures. It was a nice experience staying here. It is an offbeat location but very nice. Very much recommended. The food was cooked by Rabten and his mother which has local taste. As listed on Airbnb, they allow us to use their kitchen to cook our own food however with some additional service/gas cost.

We really enjoyed our stay at the KHH. Rabten, his mom and other members(Aron & Saimond) are very kind. They have taken care of us very well. Loved the food prepared by aunty. The location is beautiful at the top of Kalimpong. Very calm & quite but safe. The rooms are also good and specious.
