* Great hiking and moutain biking in the mountains and dip into fresh water reservoirs on Silvermine dam. We recommend Elephants Eye Cave hike from Silvermne which was the home of the last Khoi Princess.
* Short drive to Kommetjie, Noordhoek, Fish Hoek and Muizenberg beach for great body and board surfing.
* Kalk Bay offers a variety of shops selling, antiques, artefacts, and boutiques. The Harbour is an experience where you can buy fish of the day from local fisher men. Enjoy watching the seals whilst the fishermen clean your fish for you ready to cook after a great day of site seeing and back at home watching the sunset. Also the Kalk Bay theatre is known for excellent performances.
* Take a leisurely drive further along the coast to Simon’s Town and enjoy
meandering through the historic naval village. Visit the Naval Museum,
the Toy Museum, and Just Nuisance grave.
* Further along, you will find the famous Boulder’s Beach with its resident
African Penguins, where you can spend some time on the beach, or visit
the Penguin shop. Don’t forget your Wild Card for free entry.
* Cape Point Nature Reserve is another 15 minutes away, and don’t forget
your Wild Card for free entry of you are South African. There you can hike and cool off in Venus pools which is a sea garden filled with starfish and sea anemones.
* Sacred Site tours are also a must and we can arrange special tours.
* Township tours are a great experience and can also be arranged.
* A visit to Cape Town’s famous Table Mountain is a must, or catch a ferry
to Robben Island. 35 minutes away from Sun Sanctuary.
* A leisurely drive along Baden Powell Drive, brings you to the town of
Stellenbosch with restaurants, cafes, antique shops, boutiques, art
galleries, monuments and museums. This is the gateway to the famous
Cape Winelands, including Franschoek, Paarl so you have plenty of wine
farms where you can enjoy tastings, including Backsberg, Fairview and
Simonsberg, where you can enjoy your your wine with traditional, farm
style cheeses.
