I highly recommend this very unique stay! The space and grounds are large and beautiful, perfect for bigger groups and private events. Ana Maria was very accommodating and helpful in providing recommendations for a small event that we hosted in the castle. Would definitely stay here again in the future!

It's a castle! The place is amazing! They have really made it a beautiful place while retaining the authentic feel of the ancient castle that it is. Ana showed us around and gave us a bit of its history. We then got to enjoy it all to ourselves. Highly recommend it! If you get the chance, do it. A once in a lifetime opportunity!

It’s hard to put words to how magical the castle is. Ana Maria was wonderfully kind and communicative and made our stay just perfect and so easy. The rooms are all majestic, especially Sagres and Bragança but I would have happily stayed in any other room. The beds are very comfortable, the grounds and pool are gorgeous, the kitchen has everything you need. I could go on forever honestly but all you really need to know is: book it. Book it now. We were a group of 10 40 somethings, no children, celebrating two birthdays. Thank you Ana!

What can I say, but... wow!!! We had originally booked the castelo to get married back in 2020 and then COVID forced us to delay plans. Almost 3.5 years later we arrived, married and with 1 year old, and the castelo lived up to our expectations in every imaginable way! Our daughter loved crawling around the halls, rooms, and up and down the stairs. It is absolutely beautiful, and the perfect location for a peaceful getaway. The kitchen is well equipped as were the bedrooms. After a poolside breakfast, a dip was most welcome. Santa Marta is a cute, quaint town to take a walk into for a groceries, coffee, or a meal. Viana do Castelo is a short drive with a beautiful beach and shopping! Ana, the host, is very responsive and one of the kindest people I've met. She gave us great local recommendations of food and places to visit and offered to make any reservations if needed. We really can't say enough good things about how magical the castelo is!! It is a gem, and a must visit!

My boyfriend and I decided to get married at this venue. It turned out to be a great decision! Ana's place is amazing and a perfect venue for a magical wedding. It is so big and looks just like the photos. We are so happy to have picked it and have made so many great memories there. Ana is a very responsive host and will tell you everything you need to know to help organise a wedding. We look forward to returning for a holiday. 😄😄😄
