Conveniently located near the heart of Sint Idesbald, yet comfortably away from the crowd. Right on the beach with gorgeous sea views, downtown is only a 5 minute walk away! You'll have access to a wide variety of beach bars, tea rooms, restaurants, shops, and the strand.
If you have a car you can go for day trips to Cape Gris and Blanc Nez at the Côte d' Opale in France. It takes about one hour to get there. The medieval Brugge is only a 20 minutes drive away. Visit the WW I west front in Yper area or the Menen Gate at 45 minutes from the Condo. If you like bicycling there is great bike route to Diksmuide along the river the 'ijzer' starting in Nieuwpoort. Walk from the condo to the Delvaux museum or shop in Nieuwpoort, by tram, bike or car.
There is a local sailing club, steps away. Mieke Hill, an old grand villa sitting on the top of a high dune is the landmark in Sint Idesbald and fisherman on horses fishing for shrimps or even pulling nets by hand you can find in the Oostduinkerke waters.
If you are a real explorer and don't mind a long day you can drive to Lille in France (one hour) and you can take the high speed train to Paris or even London. (roughly one hour by train from Lille). The chunnel is also one hour away, you'll drive your car on the Train in Calais and off you go under the North Sea to England in 30 minutes.

You can rent bicycles around the corner, with bikes it's easy to explore the area. Local taxis are an option however the coast tram will take you from the southern end (De Panne) to the northern end (Knokke - Le zoute) of the Belgian coast. There is some 10 coastal towns in Belgium and they are all about 15 minutes away from each other. The coastline is only 40 miles. Most towns have several villages and Sint Idesbald is one that belongs to Koksijde and so is Oostduinkerke. One more south is De Panne and next you're at the French border. More north you'll have Nieuwpoort, Middelkerke and Oostende what is the biggest Belgian coastal city with plenty of shopping options. This is where James Ensor lived (Christs entry in Brussels' at the Getty in LA and a reproduction of the baths in Ostend you'll find in the master bedroom). In Oostende at the quay or fish steps you can enjoy all sorts of fresh fish and soups at the back to back parked food trucks. Next town is Bredene and De Haan that is absolutely worth a stop. Next is Blankenberge and Zee-Brugge, a seaport and the last town before you're at the Dutch border is Knokke with it's famous Le Zoute for 'le beau monde'. Al towns are separated by beautiful and protected dunes where you can have nice long walks, mostly on dedicated trails.
