I had a wonderful stay. The place is hidden in nature and at the same time very close to the beach. Far away from road and party noise. Kanchana is outstandingly hospitable and warm. One thing to have in mind (for me very important) : there are door from the kitchen to another flat which Kanchana is renting, locked of course. But unfortunately I could hear every word and every noise that my neighbors were saying and making. It made me very anxious at the beginning but fortunately these people were out for most of the day and went to sleep early so all in all i spent 3 nights there and i was happy. Kanchana makes delicious rice and curry which is a must if you stay there plus there is a little restaurant just next to the flat. Keep in mind very long waiting if there are some people ;)

Actually you've got an apartment all for you with the bedroom, the living room and one bathroom. You will find the house very clean. Kanchana (the owner) is very kind and even, if you are hungry, she will be happy to host you in her good restaurant. I had some nice days here. Five minutes on foot from the main point surfing in Hikkaduwa... Thank you Kanchana

Kanchana is simply fantastic. You can't ask for the impossible, she will solve everything. The house is spacious, comfortable and beautifully clean. Only 300m from the beach. She has a small restaurant where she and her husband offer delicious food. i will never forget those breakfasts and the love what i got. Thank you so much Kanchena.

Had a great time here. Kanchana was really hospitable, friendly and positive. The location is ideal. You are a couple of minutes from the beach. Hikkaduwa is to one side and Narigama is to the other and they are a great contrast to one another. The property is clean spacious and quiet. I cooked most days and found the utilities enough. All in all a very good time had and very happy with the hospitality, thank you.

So, kanchana's place...We booked the place for one week and finally décide to stay for three. It is a delightful little house, 100 meters from the main road and from the beach. The garden is lush, very quiet, with a cute couple of dogs ans cats roaming around. The bed is big and confy, the kitchen/living room spacious and well equipped. The bathroom very roomy as well (with no hot water if that's a problem for you but wasn't at all for us considering the warm Sri Lankan weather). It is a bit far from the city "center" (a couple kilometers) but with any kind of shops (grocery store, vegetables, meat) less than five minutes away walking. It is a good thing because it feels a bit less touristy, we were there in november (not so high season) and pretty much had the whole beach for ourselves. Kanchana herself is a lovely, very responding host, who owns a charming little restaurant just next door with hearty, tasty breakfast and delicious curry at night for a very reasonable price. All that to say that it is defintely a place worth your money and your time, I cannot recommend it enough.
