Our 5-week stay in South Lake Tahoe was very nice. The house had everything we needed and was exactly described in the listing. We were only two blocks away from some nice trails where we walked the dogs daily. The fenced in yard was nice to have, but as a warning, it is all dirt. Make sure to have a towel for muddy paws. We had no issues with the internet and were also able to receive a package at the house. Beds were a bit soft for my taste, but very quiet neighborhood. The house is 1/2 mile from the main road, so close to restaurants, grocery stores, etc and only two miles from the lake. Absolutely great deal for the location!

My husband and I stayed with our dog for ~3 months this spring and think this home has the potential to be really great but a bit more care needs to be put in to get it there. Here’s a few pros and cons from our stay. Pros: The location is awesome - so many trails and restaurants/bars within walking distance! Neighbors are kind and the host was really responsive to our issues. The carport was really convenient. The dishwasher/fridge/oven seemed pretty new and ample cleaning products were supplied. Our dog loved the fenced yard and the national forest trails nearby. Cons: There are limited grounded outlets and no outlets next to the beds. Beds were pretty meh. No info about recycling or the special bags SLT uses was provided. Overall, things were run reactively which made us feel like we were constantly bugging the host with issues (ex. Patio furniture/ grill was not put away for the winter and so was damaged, mice could have been prevented with ultrasonic indoor repellants).

We had such a great stay here for 6 weeks over winter and loved it! We had an unprecedented amount of snow and Kimberley was checking in on us and arranged snow clearing from the roof. The house was perfect for us and we were so glad to be able to have our dog with us. There are amazing walks in the forests area behind the house and heavenly just 15mins away for skiing. The house is in a great location near the shops and restaurants in south lake. The house is cozy and well loved and as described by Kimberly. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen is really well setup so you don’t need to bring anything.
