Melba阿姨热情周到的欢迎，驱散了冷雨夜两个孤独访客的疲累和不安，温暖的炉火，舒适的床褥，无处不在的收藏品，就算坏天气里哪儿也去不了，只是呆在房间里也不会无聊。

As someone else in the reviews said, staying at Melba's is like how Airbnb used to be. You feel like you're coming into someone's space, someone's home in all the best ways. There's personality, there's neat stuff, there's a welcoming feel.... and there's a lovely host to boot! Melba was responsive to my inquiries before we booked; flexible when our arrival was delayed; she is the perfect balance of not disturbing us and being available / giving us what we needed for our stay and just generally being lovely. Wish there had been more sunshine for hanging out on the deck but... next time. :)

First of all, Melba is a miracle of a human. We sincerely hope that you get to meet her and spend time talking with her -- she is simply divine. Warm, open, thoughtful, heartfelt, and incredibly humble despite being an actual hero. Melba, your way of being is such a warm invitation and affirmation. Thank you. Secondly, Melba's place is AMAZING! So cozy and interesting, with quirky elements like a ladder to a tiny lofted bed, a larger-than life map that will make you re-think your relationship with the world, great instruments & books to explore, a cool and very effective pellet stove, and an incredibly comfortable bed raised up high enough to look out the windows, centered right under skylights. Even though it's small, the kitchen is well-stocked with cooking and eating things. 1 heads up: the bathroom is the first room you walk into, and has a low wall in front of the toilet but is otherwise an open room with a closing door to the main room. Be comfy with your travel companions!
