We had a fantastic weekend at Whale Cabin! Perfect place for a family of 4. Kat was there so that made everything easy. The woods and beach were great for kids to play. We borrowed one of Kat’s kayaks and used our own inflatable kayak to paddle around the little cove - easy and safe paddle with small kids. The cabin had everything we needed - the bed was very comfortable. My 6 year old especially liked the indoor potty for middle of the night pee trips. The generator made it easy to keep food in the fridge. We just ran it for a while in the morning and evening and that kept the fridge cold all day. We look forward to coming back again!

Whale Island was an amazing locale. It was remote, beautiful, peaceful- a treasure for sure. Cell service has been cut off which was a little daunting because our ride back out was a float plane and we could’ve been weathered in, but it actually made it even better! Completely unplugged and at the mercy of nature. We had a Garmin in-reach so had an ability to text and be in contact with our float plane service-Island Air. Kathleen does an amazing job pre-stay helping to find transportation and charters by giving you options. After arrival on the island with our fishing charter boat it was a short hike to the cabin. Access was easy by having the code. Printing the directions is helpful and once in the cabin there is a set for everything . The generator, which should only be used a couple hours a day, was really easy to start and all appliances - fridge, lights, coffee pot, water heater, etc can be run when it’s on- but not all at the same time! A magical experience- thank you!

This cabin is such a unique getaway. We had a blast kayaking in the cove and hiking around in the forest. Very comfortable, well-stocked cabin in a very remote, relaxing location.
