Goldilocks would say it's just right. My first Airbnb stay. Always stayed in hotel's so I was a little hesitant to choose an Airbnb because I value privacy over anything else. Elana's place was perfect in every way. Location is a very short walking distance to all attractions and restaurants. There is actually a cute little place called Amazing Pizza no less than a one minute walk from Elana's and they do have amazing pizza and salads. Elana's is situated right off of Collins Cove so walks on the beach or taking in the fresh ocean air to soothe your soul is a huge plus. Elana was very pleasant, her cats were adorable, and her house was so cozy and comfortable that I slept better there than I do in my own bed. Last and not least; privacy. After a long day of taking in all the attractions and being a busy tourist, I was able to come in and go straight to my room and relax. Also, plenty of storage space!!! TY Elana for making our stay one of the best ever in Salem.

The perfect getaway in Salem. The room, company (including four legged friends), and little touches were exceptional. The room really captures the feel of Salem, and adds to the experience. The location couldn't be better- the harbor is seconds away, and all main attractions are within a 10 minute walk through charming back streets. I can't say enough about the hospitality and accommodations. You will want to spend time relaxing in your room, but there is so much to see and do right down the street.

Elana was very welcoming and her home is beautiful. It has a true New England charm about it, which I loved! The bed was very comfortable and the fireplace was a really nice touch. I think the price for two rooms, in this location was a steal! It was clean, tastefully decorated and her two cats were really sweet. I found her location super convenient, in walking distance to honestly everything in Salem and a quick hop of the train to Boston. Elana was eager to help me find fun places to visit and restaurants to dine at. This town is memorable to say the least; I look forward to coming again in the fall. Elana made my welcome to the world of airbnb one to remember and I am very thankful for the positive experience. A+ Stay.

I drove my son to Salem to help him move there, pulling a trailer in the process. Our experience with Elana and the accommodations she provided couldn't have been more perfect. Communicating with Elana was very easy - she always responded quickly and accurately. We were greeted with a personalized welcome sign above a small table set aside for her guests containing goodies to eat, coffee, tea, etc. Our rooms consisted of the entire top (3rd) floor of her home - very private. The room at the top of the stairs has no door, but that was no issue for us, as the entire floor was our own space. There was ample room for storage in both rooms, including closets, dressers, bedside tables, a small desk in the outer room and a large desk in the inner bedroom. The beds in both rooms were of good size and were very comfortable. The bed in the outer room is sufficient size for one person. I'm 6'1", and I had no problem sleeping in it. The bed in the inner room is large enough for 2. The shared bathroom on the 2nd floor is large, and ample storage for guests is provided. The shower had plenty of hot water. While the house's narrow street could not accommodate parking directly in front of it, there was sufficient street parking for our minivan and trailer VERY close by and within sight. The area is very safe, and we had no problems or safety concerns. The house is conveniently located close (within easy walking distance for us) to most things one would want to typically visit in Salem. Elana has a plethora of tourist info available for guests, and she graciously obtained several discounts to local museums. Elana has 2 very sweet and mellow cats that we hardly noticed. In general, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and I hope when I return to visit that Elana's place is available.

Elana is the perfect host. After a long and stressful few weeks at work, my girlfriend and I needed a quick weekend getaway, and we really lucked out by finding Elana. From the second we booked the stay to the ride back home, she was warm, inviting, generous and a wealth of local knowledge and tips to make the most out of your stay in Salem. Her place is extremely nice, and very conveniently located. Really looking forward to visiting again!
