The Barabas is the perfect place in Bruges. You can try to find a nicer owner, better location or more romantic spot but you will not. The descriptions do not do it justice. We had a late check-in due to travel and Bert had stayed late to welcome us. In the morning Hilde was there to provide us an outstanding breakfast canal side on the terrace. She was alway kind and accommodating to our needs. Bert made sure that our taxi was there for our early morning departure and checked on us several times throughout the stay to see if there was anything we needed. Adina made sure our room was fresh, tidy and had a smile for us each day and was even kind enough to help us with some laundry needs. It is also one of the locations that the canal tour operators point out from the canal due to its beauty! All in all we could not have asked for anything more. Thank you Bert and team!! We hope to see you all again soon.

Bert's place is stunning - a feast for the eyes. We loved our room overlooking the beautiful gardens and canal. The location is a very short walk to the old city gate (feels like you are entering a castle) and steps from all the major sites in Brugge. Yet it feels remarkably private and cozy when you are tucked up in your room. The room was spacious and had every amenity. The breakfast was outstanding - personalized menu and amazing attentive service. They took excellent care of us!

Brugge Exceeded my expectations in large part due to location and Bert’s accommodations. Loved everything about Barabas house. Breakfasts exceptional as has been mentioned. I will return without a doubt! On the canal and walking distance to city history and fun! Thank you to Bert and his entire awesome team:)
