IF YOU HAVE A DOG, READ. Pros - right on adorable Main Street with cute antique shops and such. - very safe. - parking on site. - off street level for better privacy. - kitchen has lots of necessities for cooking. - spacious apartment. - quiet, especially for the center of town. Cons - I was there Fri and Sat night and everything was shut at 7:00 pm or well before. Make sure you have everything you want before you get back to the apartment. - the water pressure is lacking. I wasn't there for the quality of the shower so it didn't bother me too much - the stairs up to the apartment are sturdy and wide, but holy buckets, not for anyone who is afraid of heights. It is higher than your average second floor. You can see through the grating all the way down. - DOGS will not like the see-through grating of the stairs. I have a 96 lb search and rescue professional German Shepherd trained to go on unstable surfaces. Even she was concerned.

Small but efficient apartment! Located in the heart of the lovely town of Kendallville, with excellent lighting in the parking area and great local places nearby. The kitchen is stocked with lots of cooking equipment, and I found the bedroom and bathroom comfortable. Two things to keep in mind: this is a second-floor walk-up, so anyone with issues with stairs or heights should look elsewhere, and that you will need to do your laundry elsewhere since there’s no washer or dryer in the unit. Neither of these presented problems for me, and this was a fantastic place for a summer-long stay while I worked outside of Fort Wayne.

With work and moving, this place is perfect. Just about anything I was looking for. The coffee shop right out the door, a great Taco Joint that is walkable, and a few interesting shops to poke in. Jane was and is a great help with a few bumps in the road and was able to help out. Defiantly a great place to stay.

This is a great apartment in a beautiful building. The listing is very accurate. The kitchen includes everything you need to create a meal (including a variety of spices), and has cozy seating for two. The television worked well and has a good variety of channels. The water pressure and amount of hot water in the shower is great, and everything was so clean! The parking area is convenient and is very well lit at night, and visible from the apartment. We also greatly appreciated that our dog was welcome in this space!
