I think Joelle's apartment is what AirBnB was meant to be: clearly a lived in house of a local host, not a flat made up for a rental. That was good for being stocked full of useful items (scissors, cooking utensils), but quite packed full of things (furniture, nicknacks). Despite the location, amenities, etc, wouldn't stay again because the smell of cigarette smoke permeating the entire apartment/bedding regardless of windows left open and clung to our clothes and luggage by the time we left.

Nice apartment in close proximity to the centre of Meribel and access to the slopes. Joelle was very responsive and helpful. The apartment did smell of cigarette smoke and was a bit dusty, otherwise we would stay again.

Joelle’s apartment was lovely for two people on a skiing holiday. It is very homey and warm. Check-in/out was easy, and the car parking, ski locker, and proximity to the slopes was very convenient.
