Superbe emplacement, dépaysement garanti !

Beds were clean and very comfy. Our kids loved their bedroom. we all enjoyed greatly having a fireplace. The gate at the end of the path was useful and reassuring. The care taker and the handy man were available even on Xmas weekend was electric default to be fixed however ... Mould in Bathroom, bedroom walls and humidity under the flooring was smelling and feeling unhealthy eventhough we used radiators and fireplace to dry the cottage. Kitchen floor and cupboards had stains from previous visitors. Bathroom was not clean ans the shower not so easy to use. Some ideas for improvement The stones around the house could be fixed as they seem broken for a while and unsafe to run around. The car park could be flatted with pebbles or rocks as mud was deep. Even though it was great not to have network a screen and a DVD player for long dark evening could be used. As a family of 5 we enjoyed discovering Connemara...

This is a lovely, simple cottage in a stunningly beautiful location. The views of Mweelrea mountain are wonderful, as are the clear waters of Little Killary harbour just 5 minutes walk away. Brilliant local beaches, rivers and villages. A paradise. Potential stayers should be aware that some of the stone in the terrace at the front is broken and you have to bring your own drinking water (there is running water for baths, showers, sink etc but apparently not drinkable). However for our family of five the place was magical.

Perfect hideaway for digital detoxing: no phone and Wi-Fi network in the whole area. Great scenery around, huge garden, nice old house with beautiful fireplace. No dishwasher, so you need to do it yourself, also need to wait an hour to get warm water in the shower. We had a great time there, would recommend to all nature lovers.
