The accommodation is a new traditional two floor mansion in the wonderful village of Makrinitsa on the blessed mountain Pelion with astonishing view to Pagasitikos gulf, surrounding mountains and the city of Volos. Easily accessible only 20 minutes driving from Volos city and 3 minutes walking from the parking place. Sunny and cozy can guest up to nine people. It is 3 minutes walking from the beautiful center of Makrinitsa with lovely restaurants and cafe's, and 30 minutes from Hania ski resort. There are two floors in the accommodation. On the upper floor there is the main bedroom with double bed or two separate beds depending on the guests wish, TV, wardrobe and windows with unique view to the sea and mountains. There are also another two bed bedroom with wardrobe and the main bathroom. On the same floor there is the large and sunny sitting room with astonishing view, satellite TV and fireplace. A big dinning table, where up to 10 people can be served, is next to the fully equipped kitchen. The floor, the ceiling and the doors are wooden handmade in traditional style providing as well as with the furniture (which many of them are antiques), a very cosy sense to the guests. The lower floor includes a reception hall, a guest room with double or separate beds, two sofas, closet and chest of drawers, TV, view to the yard and separate bathroom. There is also another double bed bedroom with separate bathroom. The house is warmed by central heating, but also the fireplace and the air condition may assist. During summer, although the mean temperature is quite pleasant, the strong air condition can offer more dew. The stone floor yard provides unlimited view to the sea and mountains and to city of Volos, being identical for children, relaxing, having coffee or breakfast outside or a romantic dinner watching the city lights, depending on the season.

Dear future travelers I had the privilege of staying at Yanis' wonderful Airbnb in Makrinitza Village during a massive thunderstorm in Greece, and I couldn't have asked for a better host. Yanis truly went above and beyond to ensure our safety and comfort during those challenging days. Not only did Yanis provide us with essential supplies like food, water, and gas when we were stranded, but he also made us feel secure in potentially dangerous situation. His warm hospitality and genuine concern for our well-being were truly remarkable. The house itself was a gem. Spacious enough to comfortably accommodate our group of nine people, it offered breathtaking views of the city of Volos. Even amidst the storm, the scenery was awe-inspiring. I whole heartedly recommend Yanis as a host for your stay in Makrinitza Village. His kindness, generosity, and the quality of his property will make your trip to Greece Unforgettable experience. Ιωαννη'ς place was excellent and had amazing views of Volos. Located in a quiet area. The kitchen had everything we needed plus more and plenty of spotless bathrooms for 6 adults and 2 children. The washing machine was useful as well as drying rack for the clothes to dry on. Short walk up the hill to the village square of Makrinitsa.

The house has four sleeping rooms and a big living room. The house is beautiful and traditionally decorated with a fantastic view, especially from the oversized balcony. Walking from the parking to the house takes a few minutes, and part of that route is uphill (from house to parking). But if you are okay with some physical effort, the house and the view are worth it. The village of Makrinitsa is picturesque and beautiful, and the weather is fantastic in July (26C instead of 40C in Athens). It has access to both sides of the beaches but requires driving on sloping and winding roads. Our host was very kind. Our flight was delayed, and we arrived at the village parking zone at 02:30. Although check-in was up to 22:00 and late at night, our host understood our situation and consented to check us in. We appreciate that effort very much. At the bottom line, we recommend the house and the host. Thank you for all. It was a wonderful vacation.

It is important that the guests can reach the mansion in 3-7 minutes walking, depending on where they will park, since cars are not allowed in to village’s main street, except arriving and departing and also there are no other vehicle accessible streets in the village. The main street and the center of the village, where the restaurants, café’s and traditional shops are, is only 5 minutes walking. All village’s sights and facilities are in walking distance from the mansion. Portaria village is only 4km away from Makrinitsa. More restaurants, café’s, bars, shops, a bank ATM and a pharmacy can be found there. Finally Volos city is only 20 minutes driving from the mansion. There are also frequent public transportation to Volos and two taxis in service. The beautiful, coastal city of Volos provides everything somebody may need including a modern general hospital in an emergency case.

Of course walking is the best and oldest way to discover the gorgeous nature of Pelion, as well as mountain bike and horse and donkey riding for those, who can ride! There are many amazing paths inside and around village depending on your physical endurance. For longer explorations, although there is fair public transportation and taxis in service connecting the village with the city of Volos and other villages of Pelion, the best way to go around is by car. There are many car rentals in Volos. Pelion is a unique place with many wonderful traditional villages. In Pelion surpassing beaches for swimming during summer can be paired with snow sports on the ski resort of Hania during winter. Each season is exceptional every wear, either in the villages by the beach or in the mountain villages. Also the special Pelion climate allows the simultaneous growth of all kinds of plants, flowers, trees, fruits and vegetables depending on the level above sea. Finally for the guests coming from abroad there are airports in Volos and the close city of Larisa and also railway connections. International airports are in Thessaloniki about 250km away and in Athens about 300km away.

I am doctor of medicine and I am working for the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki as Associate professor of Urology in "G Gennimatas" general hospital of Thessaloniki. I am married and I have a daughter. We love traveling a lot and so through the experience from our trips I can understand very well the expectations and the needs of the guests to feel safe and comfortable as they are at home.
