Stayed here for Thanksgiving week with my spouse and adult child. Was perfect for us- plenty of space, clean and close to town.

This place couldn’t have been better. Charming, great location, awesome kitchen (my brother is a chef and was able to go all out cooking for my birthday). It is a refurbished barn on the historic Spanish trail. Yes, a little creaky but the bathrooms are modern/new, beds and sheets are hotel standard and the place is clean and so welcoming. That’s what we loved the most—we just made ourselves at home right away with some games and instruments that were lying around. If relaxed, shabby chic is your jam, then this house is for you. Also, what an in person welcome from Sharon! She came and helped us figure everything out and had great recommendations. Like, don’t miss the Tesuque Market down the street. It has everything in there, a bar, restaurant and pastry shop and more. And it’s walking distance. Very unique spot. Everything is just a 10 to 15 minute drive from Jim’s and yet you feel like you’re on your way to a ranch as soon as you enter Tesuque. 🙏Jim +Sharon

Very cozy and quaint converted barn house. Old wood construction. Sqeaky 2nd floor adds to the ambiance of the dwelling. Private and spacious enclosed back patio with covered dining table offered a great place to relax outdoors in some fresh air. Hot tub was perfect for two. Loved the place! Excellent host, easy and great to deal with!

Jim’s historic dwelling was beautiful and large. My husband and I and the couple we were staying with really enjoyed the large, breezy patio, comfortable living space, and well-stocked kitchen. Everything was clean and attractive, and the host’s proxy, Sharon, was very responsive and friendly. The location couldn’t have been better for attending the opera, which was the reason for our visit, and we enjoyed walking around Tesuque, watching the birds, and hearing the coyotes chattering to each other in the night. A couple of factors detracted from our complete comfort. Even with the windows open and the fan running, the upstairs bedroom was a bit hot… And the couple who slept downstairs was also uncomfortably hot during one night. And with the windows open upstairs, cars on the very nearby road tended to wake us up. The upstairs floorboards are extremely squeaky… So if the people sleeping downstairs are sensitive to noise, this can be a problem.
