Brilliant and scenic location and beautiful house packed with lots of useful amenities. I really enjoyed my stay here though the extensive cleaning required before check-out was a bit of a dampener as it's a very big house so it is a lot of work and our check-out was at 10am. I do think it would be nicer if the guests weren't expected to do such a deep clean themselves at the end because it does spoil the holiday experience, particularly as there is usually a cleaning charge included on airbnb that usually covers this work. I know the COVID situation is causing a strain on services but I think this extensive cleaning up by guests is part of the usual agreement for this house. which is a shame. Anyway, despite this small complaint, I would still recommend this house and say it's beautiful.

Bonawe is an amazing place. It's a beautiful house located in a serene environment. We were amazed about the size of the house. There are 7 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. Serveral seating areas. All very cosy. The house very suitable for multiple couples or in our case six men. Absolutely recommended.

Das ist ein grossartiges Haus! Eine so gut eingerichtete Küche haben wir noch nie gesehen. Alles was wir brauchten war vorhanden und noch vieles mehr, was wir noch nie gesehen haben. Alle Betten waren bequem und gross genug. Am Wochenende vor unserer Ankunft haben die Eigentümer noch ein weiteres Schlafzimmer eingerichtet. Das wurde von uns sehr geschätzt. Die Einrichtung ist äusserst liebevoll gestaltet. Die Aussicht und Lage ist wundervoll. Am Morgen wurden wir von den Vögeln geweckt, abends konnten wir die Fische springen sehen. Wirklich idyllisch. Die Bushaltestelle vor dem Haus ist super praktisch, die Busfahrt dauert nur 45 Minuten und führt mitten nach Oban (das Taxi zurück hat £35.- pro Fahrzeug gekostet). Wir können das Haus wärmstens weiter empfehlen und würden sehr gerne wieder kommen!

Huge place. Incredible, quiet location. Three living rooms and two kitchens. Amazing for a big group. Good amenities and kitchen supplies. Bring your own shower soap & shampoo/conditioner. Bed are relatively comfy. I'm a light sleeper and I slept great. Single track road to get to the house. 20 minutes on that road and difficult if you're not used to driving on the left. House is very hard to find in the dark. Be sure to get directions from the owner ahead of time. You will be required to do extensive cleaning before checkout. Make sure to plan for this. We almost didn't have enough time. If you're looking for a quiet retreat for lots of people. This is your place.
