We stayed in Tartou 5, a converted barn for 6 people...with just 2 of us there was loads of space! The barn has been renovated with pretty views of the countryside. Every morning you could have fresh bread and croissants delivered from the bakery which was such a lovely touch! The gites are clustered into a small hamlet/converted farm, with a communal pool and games barn. They are a welcoming communal bunch and invited us bowling and to get involved with activities. The only downside being they aren’t very private as no curtains or shutters (except on bedrooms). The garden was communal too and as we were next to the games barn where the WiFi is (no WiFi in the property) people would regularly walk past your windows. So bring a dressing gown! The surrounding area is full of good walks and pretty villages. Many footpath walking routes pass the hamlet including one down to a river which was great for foraging and with the dog.
