We loved our stay at the historic Captain York House! The house is spacious, gorgeous, and family-friendly. Our introvert-heavy family appreciated the number of spaces to easily come together or have our own spots to recharge. It’s convenient to both lovely island attractions and the cities of Brunswick and Bath. The porch was a fabulous spot to enjoy family in the sea air. We had family out from Boston, Seattle, and Minnesota for a graduation and this was a fantastic house for all of us!
Our family converged here from Brookyn, Berkeley Heights, Plano and Austin. We had a wonderful time and the house was perfect for our family of twelve. Lots of places to hang out, yard to play in, great walks and close beaches. We walked to Cook's Lobster and Ale House for a great meal. Everything was great!
A beautiful location in a truly special place with a huge deck a great yard. Nearby walks and beach makes it a good family spot. The house is a little quirky. The living spaces and kitchen are small for a larger group.
Plenty of room for our party of 14, very safe (with outdoor areas) for the kids to play, and perfect location on Bailey Island. So much to do in Harpswell and surrounding area.... Highly recommended. If we ever have a group this big again we will definitely stay here again..
Wow....our family vacation was unexpected y side tracked and we angst over what time do..we found The Captain York house. Took a chance and BOOM! The best family getaway we had in years! We are privileged to have stayed there and hope to return!!
