This place was a great home base for our two families (four kids between 8 and 3). Lovely area, close drive to lots of things, including community pool. The home is old, and much of it is dated, but it still kind of works. Basement is a bit musty, which is not too bad, but not awesome. Probably could use some updates without losing its vintage charm at this price. Still enjoyed our visit and had plenty of room, with excellent view. Stephanie was responsive when we had a few issues with the lock etc. Great bike collection and suggestions for things to do!

Wonderful hosts! Beautiful view and a charming house! We had everything we needed and it was a spacious home with comfortable beds. We couldn’t have been happier! Has the best view of Lake Galena if any house in the territory. Highly recommend!
We had a fabulous weekend at the Galena Chalet. The house is perfectly suited for a couples weekend and well appointed to accommodate children as well. The decor and views are absolutely stunning and we loved sitting on the deck enjoying the nature surroundings. Do not hesitate to book this rental, we all agreed it was one of the nicest vacation homes we have ever stayed in. This is truly a special place!
Everyone in our family group agreed it was a wonderful retreat for us.

We have recently expanded our business to include vacation rentals in the Galena area, a charming town about 3 hours outside of Chicago.
