Katrin's place was all we could ask for. Plenty of space for 6 of us to spread out. It was lovely and warm and well equipped. It is in very quiet neighbourhood with lovely views from the sitting/dinning area and well placed for exploring the Golden Circle area. The hot tub was a bonus and we even saw the Northern Lights from it.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Katrin's house during our 4 days in the Golden Circle. It was very easy to find and though it may look small on the outside, we were struck with how spacious the house was, even better than the pictures. It was so comfortable because this is not just a rental, this IS their summer house. The kitchen was probably the best stocked I've been in and I cooked every night. The living spaces were comfortable, the bathroom was spacious, good water pressure in the shower, comfortable bed (there are 4 bedrooms to choose from), great hot tub (no jets, just an actual tub of hot water!). I think my husband's favorite thing was the enormous map of Iceland on the wall when you walk in. He looked at it numerous times a day, he would even put a chair in the middle of the hallway just to read it and learn it. Katrin offered tips on things to see in the area and was very responsive with questions. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat, thank you!

Really glad we choose this listing. Great access to activities and sightseeing locations including the Secret Lagoon which is walking distance away! Highly recommended and would definitely return. It was a wonderful jumping off point for all the amazing sites along the Golden Circle and more. My teenage boys enjoyed the house too with plenty of space to spread out. We all loved being able to spend time together whether eating a meal around the table, playing ping pong, or hanging out in the hot tub. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals, which also saved us a lot of money. Definitely check out the tomato restaurant and go back at night to hang out at the amazing wine bar - it's only 10 mins away. Katrin was super responsive and helpful with many wonderful sightseeing ideas and answering my questions. I can't say enough great things! Hoping to make it back one day.
