We loved our time staying in this quirky home. It is situated in a lovely village on top of the hill and views from the terrace take your breath away. The house had everything we needed. it was a wonderful stay. Francesco was very responsive and helpful. Our favorite places that we visited were Scario and the Venus Hair waterfalls. Worth the drive.

The experience could have been much better, but the host did not communicate via the Airbnb app and wanted via messenger. It was at the top of a hill and we came up the way the directions in the listing indicated, which was a bad and dangerous road. When we got to the location we could not find the house. A neighbor helped us by getting the person who was the caretaker and she showed us where it was (host lives in Rome). The house was interesting and it had what we needed for the night. Unfortunately the bedroom A/C did not work and it was very cold. We woke up at 4 AM and decided to leave for our next destination. Good things: Great view, interesting house, nice people around there Bad things: TV did not work, heater in bedroom did not work Would not stay there again. It is a typical situation where the owner lives elsewhere and the caretakers just clean the place, but are not worried about having the amenities in working order.

Unique place, good value for money, extremely quiet. That being said you need to take into consideration that Castelnuovo currently does not currently have any groceries or even bars open to buy anything you might need, so if you plan for that you will be totally fine.

We enjoyed the charming pictures of the uncle and his donkey, who added beauty to the village with his pebble art. Clean, comfortable and unique in a quaint little village with parking available. Just beware of dog poop when you walk around the village.
