Salam from both of us! I'm Abdoul, a Berber Gnaoua and native of Khamlia, Morocco, and my wife, Suzanne is originally from Ireland. We married in 2010 and after four years of living in beautiful Edinburgh, we decided to move back to Khamlia, my charming village in southeastern Morocco. We both love the Moroccan desert and missed being around my family, friends, and my mum's wonderful cooking. We simply missed the intoxicating aromas, sights, and sounds of the vast and magical Sahara. Our home is in Khamlia but we travel a lot between Dublin and the Desert for work and family reasons. We opened Khamlia Desert Bed & Breakfast in 2014 and have put everything we have into making it a very unique and special desert oasis that combines traditional Berber and Irish culture and hospitality. We assure that a very warm welcome awaits you in our modern, traditionally styled, Berber desert bed & breakfast, which we designed and built ourselves. We are set next to the Erg Chebbi dunes of Merzouga, which are just a camel's ride away from nomadic Berber camps. You will no doubt find an experience here like no other - encountering the incredible & vast landscape, breathtaking night skies, and rare and fascinating cultures.
