Monte Isola is one of my favorite places in Europe where you can hide from all the perils of the world and enjoy the idyllic nature and peace free from the crowds of tourists, which is hard to reach otherwise in Italy, e.g. in Venice. Roberto's place is ideal for this purpose, as it is close to the ferry port, restaurant and groceries, has a balcony with a beautiful view, provides a bike to cycle around the island and the apartment is fully fledged. Hope that he will not ever stop renting it out and we can come back soon. Roberto was really nice and communication went smoothly. Highly recommended!

Roberto è stato un host impeccabile e l’appartamento beh, incredibile. Posizione incredibile, pulitissimo e con tutto quello che serve. Zona tranquilla e perfetta per un’immersione a 360 gradi in questo capolavoro che è Monteisola. Ci siamo regalati un weekend incredibile, nonostante il cattivo tempo. Consigliatissimo!

We had a wonderful time exploring such a beautiful island from a convenient base. It was great having bikes to use. Excellent biking and hiking opportunities. Good supermarket nearby and the owner Maurizio was very kind and friendly. Great restaurants around the island. Thank you to Maria for picking us up in Sale Marasino. Very nice. We would definitely return.

Really good apartment, perfect for a couple. The location was great, only a few minutes walk from the ferry and the village shop and bars. Carzano is very small and peaceful, especially in late September. It is easy to get to the rest of the island, and to the mainland. Sale Marasino is a short ferry ride and has good train connections (we loved our day in Brescia). Roberto was very helpful and responsive, meeting us in person from the ferry and taking time to explain everything in the apartment.

Roberto's and Maria's place is a true gem which I would recommend to anyone! 1. Check-In: in our case, the check-in was super flexible and convenient. We were allowed to have a super early check-in which was incredibly helpful and nice. Maria even waited for us at the train station to hand over the keys and escort us to the ferry pier. 2. Location: Carzano on Monte Isola is perfect if you're ready for a calm and remote getaway far away from the overtourism at other lakes in northern Italy. Still, you'll have everything you need in Carzano: the ferry to Sale-Marasino leaves every 20 minutes, there is a great restaurant just around the corner and you even have the nicest public beach on Monte Isola just a stone's throw away. 3. The apartment: the place is one of the nicest I ever stayed in in an Airbnb context. You have a spectacular balcony with a lake view, a perfectly equipped kitchen, a comfortable bed, a clean bathroom and useful extras like bikes, board games etc. A true gem!
