Patrick was so friendly and welcoming. We had the use of the beautiful garden and he was more than willing to recommend places to eat and local walks. The accommodation is cozy and clean. We loved our stay.

We have stayed in many properties over the years, not just with Airbnb, private rentals, etc. and, of course, nowhere is perfect, until we stayed at Carpenter’s Cottage. I would not change a thing about it. Ground floor has underfloor heating, so you walk around on a lovely warm tiled floor. There is also a little wood burning stove for extra heat or aesthetics, lovely compact 2 seater reclining sofa, well kitted out kitchen, dining table and TV. Upstairs has a good sized bedroom, comfy king sized bed and an Ensuite bathroom with mixer shower. Everything in the cottage has been well thought out by Helen to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Helen & Patrick met us on arrival and were available anytime, had we needed them. Pocklington itself is a lovely market town with a good selection of cafes, restaurants, pubs, shops, etc, all within five minutes walk of the cottage. We would not hesitate to return if we were in the area
