布里奇波特 · 整套出租单元 · 1室2床1.0卫 · 可住4人 · Brooklawn House Classic Victorian
Desgned by prominent 1800s architect, James Northrup, my place is close to parks, art and culture, restaurants and dining, great views, the beach, Metro North, shopping, country settings in New England. In 2008 this house was chosen by Grammy Award filmmaker and director, Sam Mendes for his filming of the movie:"Away We Go", starring Maggie Gyllenhall, Maya Rudolph and John Krosinsky. The house has been the recipient of a $300,000 historic restoration. The apartment is spacious, has plenty of natural light, a washer and dryer, charming windows, view and skylight, high ceilings, full kitchen, tile bath, comfortable furniture, air conditioning, and kitchen table and chairs.
A great character property and a perfect place to stay and experience Bridgeport. Bob is a great representative of the area and has filled his space with a treasure trove of information about the area's rich history . His apartment is spacious yet every corner of it is filled with something of interest...either about the area, or just generally cool things. Bridgeport's history is pretty fascinating and worthy of discovery and Bob's place is located in a perfect area to get a taste of it. We spent a great day in Black Rock which is a hip area but like Bridgeport itself doesn't have any pretension about it. If you like the beach (like us) there are alot of options in the area... we took a healthy hour long drive out out to New London (Ocean Park Beach) and had a great day... the local beaches are there in Bridgeport too but we knew what we wanted and made the drive to New London to see more of the area. Nearby Fairfield and Wesport are also cool spots to hang out in and the summer night life did not disappoint in those areas. Highly recommend Bob's place as a great base to enjoy the area.
It’s a pretty cool little suite that has history and near furniture. It’s great for 2 ppl. Robert provides locals tips of things to do in Bridgeport which is really cool and helpful. I enjoyed my stay even though there were complications on my end. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a value place to get away from big time city life.
We enjoyed our brief stay at Robert's place. It was a very easy check-in process and the space was exactly as described. The location is perfect for access to beaches, parks, and other local attractions. There are several packets with recommendations around the area and some very interesting books to learn about the town's history!
Totally run down and shabby place. Crampy and smells of dust and mold. Enterance looks like a junkyard. The apartment that is given is on the third floor attic apartment. The stairs leading to apartment are squeaky and covered with dirty carpet with stains. We decided we could not stay in it and left within an hour.
The home is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as part of the Stratfield Historic District, located on the Bridgeport/Fairfield Line, on quiet, safe street within walking district to ethnic restaurants and delicatessens, with access to walking the 1700s Historic Stratfield Burial Grounds through a backyard gate. Within minutes drive of Stop and Shop, Trader Joes, I-95, and lively music scenes in Downtown and Black Rock.
Close proximity to Metro North Train Station for 1 hour and twenty minute trip to NYC and half hour to New Haven. Close to Sacred Heart University, University of Bridgeport, Fairfield University and St Vincents and Bridgeport Hospitals.
