You can enjoy morning coffee on the balcony, or relax on the rooftop terrace, or simply enjoy the comforts of your penthouse suite. The master bedroom has a king-size bed with access to the balcony—and beautiful views of the Sea of Cortez. There are lots of built-in cabinets for storage, a flat-screen smart television, and an on-suite bathroom with a large shower. The second bedroom also has built-in cabinetry and a queen-size bed — and there is a second bathroom with walk-in shower for others to use. The kitchen is fully equipped with a large refrigerator with freezer, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, blender, coffee maker, and toaster. An added bonus is that all tap water is filtered and sterilized for ease of mind about washing vegetables, brushing teeth and drinking water. There is a large-screen smart TV in the living room (cable TV and Wi-Fi included), a beautiful dining area, and kitchen bar seating. And finally, there is a laundry room with utility sink, washer and dryer. This corner penthouse suite is perfectly positioned to feel the evening breezes of the Sea of Cortez. The windows are all screened, and the suite can be further cooled using the air conditioning units and ceiling fans in the living area and each of the bedrooms. Other amenities include a secured underground parking spot that has elevator access to all floors including the roof-top terrace. There is also secure electronic and keyed access to the property, and a night-time security guard for added peace of mind.

We never met Ana Margarita but Edgar was great. He contacted us as soon as the place was ready and cleaned from the previous guests and allowed us to check in a little early, which was great since we had just checked out of a previous stay in the same building. This listing was far better equipped and the host much more responsive then the other listing. We really liked the detailed guidebook with listing of how to operate everything in the unit as well as recommended local restaurants, grocery stores and attractions. Also unlike the other unit this unit came with soap for dishes and laundry as well as beach items like a cooler and umbrella and an in unit filter system which meant you didn't have to go out and buy drinking water on arrival. It was also really nice to be able to make our own fresh squeezed orange juice in the morning with the provided Jamba juicer. Highly recommend and would definitely be my first choice if available next time I am in La Pazz
Amazing stay! The place is very nice just like the photos. The view from the master bedroom and balcony are breathtaking and peaceful. The location is perfect walking distance to all the restraunts and downtown area without it being too noisy. The host had us meet Edgar for check - in, he was super friendly and had the best recommendations for great places to eat. We had a great experience!
First rate experience the entire time for our family vacation from check in to check out. A beautiful home and incredible location on the Malecón overlooking the water, walkable to many to amazing restaurants. We loved the rooftop pool, taking in the sunsets and relaxing outside. Edgar was so kind and gracious to us at check in and check out, greeting us with a warm smile and even helped us bring in our things at check in and helping us leave the parking garage and stopping traffic to see us out the parking garage. The detailed binders in English and Español with everything we need to know about using the appliances, things to do, is so helpful. Stay here it’s perfect, highly recommend!
I wanted a safe, easy and fun first trip for our 1.5yr old daughter and La Paz blew away our expectations. Staying here was a wonderful mix of beauty, convenience and safety. Edgar was very helpful and responsive. Check-in was smooth and nice. They were flexible with our check out which meant so much to us since it was 90F outside and we didn't fly out until 4pm. Amazing experience all around and we would love to stay here again.

The best seafood in the world can be found in La Paz at incredible taco stands and restaurants where you can delight in shrimp, fish, manta ray, lobster, marlin, and octopus. And there is amazing snorkeling, kayaking, scuba diving and fishing — and wonderful day-trips to Espiritu Santo Island (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) that is only accessible by boat.
Taking to the water gives bountiful opportunities to see pelicans, blue-footed boobies, frigate birds, leaping devil rays, sea lions, dolphins and whales (humpback whales, blue whales and killer whales all pass through these local waters). Or you could do a day-trip into the desert to see flowering cactus and primitive cave paintings, or travel to the gray-whale breeding lagoons on the Pacific-side of the Baja to see newborn calves.
Not to be missed is the nightly ritual of walking the Malecon with the families of La Paz to enjoy the gentle evening breezes and savor ice cream, or feast in one of the restaurants and outdoor cafes. You might also start each day as the sun rises with a gentle stroll along the water’s edge taking in the sights, sounds and smells of the ocean. La Paz’s Malecon stretches for 5 km and is considered one of the most beautiful in all of Mexico.
La Paz is a wonderful authentic Mexican town that we think is the ultimate eco-tourism destination. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do.
Being located on the Malecon means not needing a car unless you want one. The best swimming beaches south of La Paz can be accessed by mini buses that depart from the Central Bus Station on the Malecon, just 7 blocks away — and boats leave daily at the public dock along the Malecon to take people to swim with whale sharks and sea lions, and to visit the offshore islands.
Getting to Casa Cousteau from the La Paz airport is a short taxi ride. However, international flights to the San Jose Cabos airport tend to be much cheaper than flights to La Paz. The easiest way to get from the Cabos airport to La Paz is by booking and taking a mini bus (ecobajatours) to the La Paz waterfront Central Bus Station, which is just 7 blocks (15-minute walk) along the Malecon from Casa Cousteau — or you can take a taxi from the La Paz bus station (for less than US $5). You could also arrive in La Paz by car and park in the secured underground parking.
