Vue exceptionnelle, accueil chaleureux par Paul. Grande maison. Apportez un filet contre les moustiques pour la nuit, bien l’insérer sous le matelas. Aucun restaurant, sauf petits locaux. Le chef Marc est venu avec nous au marché, il nous a cuisiné un diner et un souper. La piscine n’etait pas fonctionnelle, bien dommage. Pas d’eau chaude non plus dans la douche demie-extérieure, mais avec la chaleur c’est correct. J’ai adoré mon expérience, je voulais du calme. Merci Jim

The only positive point is the caretaker, Hepburn, who is unfortunately able to properly get the whole place tidied up due to his medical conditions. He was friendly but the place is clearly abandoned by the host. Everything was dirty, the pool was green and this for a while. You will not hear the “sound of the jungle” but the sound of herds or dogs in the neighbor house. And the place is clearly unsafe : located in a rich gated community in the middle of a poor town, the appartment cannot be properly closed and secured. Plus, the “gate” of this community is not closed and there’s nobody to check entrances. It’s far from everything and you’ll depend on overpriced chartered taxis offered by the host. Please secure the house, hire properly someone who will not sleep in the pool storage local to take care of your house and it will be a 10/10 … We stayed in many places in Jamaica but never dirty and unsafe like this

Read the reviews and bring mosquito repellent. Stop at a grocery store and buy food/supplies before arriving. We only slept at the house and went to Sandals to see friends. PROS: The place is beautiful, the views alone make it worth staying. The groundskeeper (Hepburn) and the caretaker (Shantel) were great, took care of our needs (rides). Lots of games available. Comes with a washer/dryer! CONS: Mosquitoes. On our arrival there were a few dead mosquitoes on the furniture and on the bed in the smaller bedroom/office. Pool was not the cleanest and we didn’t use it. We didn’t ask for pool and office to be cleaned, I’m sure Hep and Shantel would’ve took care of it. Cold showers, not an issue for me but for my wife it was. Main bedroom needs a new mosquito net. Wifi, almost nonexistent. I would definitely stay again now that I know how to be better prepared for the reality of Jim’s Place. I know my cons list seems long but come prepared and you’ll love staying at this place.

The views are beautiful! It is a tropical experience you will not get somewhere else! The staff and drivers were caring and helpful at all times. The communication from Jim was so accurate and prompt, addressing all of our concerns. I would definitely consider going back in the future!
