My husband, our 5yo daughter, and my sister stayed in Gaia&Pietro's Lugano flat for a long weekend in October. The view - inside the living area and outside on the terrace - is amazing! The location is great, too - a 15-minute walk to the lake and center of town (but plan for an uphill walk back). We didn't use public transportation, so I cannot comment on that. We had no trouble finding groceries, etc., while in the city center, and there are plenty of restaurants by the lake, as well. For kids, there's a great playground (Parco Giochi Ciani) in the area. The apartment is spacious, all beds are comfortable, and plenty of clean, soft towels were provided. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, glasses, utensils, and pots/pans (although we did not cook any meals there). Be prepared to supply disposable kitchen things like paper towels. I agree with recent reviews that the flat would benefit from some TLC (e.g., broken dishwasher), but this didn't detract from our experience.

The view was so beautiful and the location was great. Couldn't do better in that regard. I will note that it did feel like the house needed some attention though - it felt like we were navigating a lot of repairs that were needed, it just felt like the house was a bit worn down.

Stunning view! Great natural lighting from sunrise to sunset, with a beautiful view over the lake. Since the apartment is on a hill you have a great view of the town and lake. I loved working on the balcony, even when it was pouring rain as its covered and tranquil. The apartment was spacious, has a washer AND drier for clothes which was nice to have. It also has a dishwasher which was great as we stayed for 10 days. Only an 8 minute walk down the hill into town with plenty of great restaurants and shopping. The apartment is connected to a small coffee window that has small bites too for on the go Host was responsive and helpful. Great location and am glad we found that place for our 10 day visit. I would return again!
