自我介绍

ITALIAN Sono di origine siciliana , ma solo nell'estate del 1979 ho messo piede per la prima volta a Lipari in compagnia del mio attuale marito, la cui famiglia è originaria dell'isola e me ne sono innamorata a prima vista. Durante tutti questi anni abbiamo viaggiato molto per lavoro ed abbiamo abitato in vari paesi europei, esperienza che mi ha permesso di approfondire le mie conoscenze linguistiche. Da allora , nel periodo estivo, sono sempre ritornata immancabilmente ogni anno, per periodi lunghi o brevi, assieme alla mia famiglia, ai miei figli, per i quali questo posto è diventato un vero e proprio punto di riferimento. Nel tempo abbiamo deciso, assieme ad altri componenti della famiglia,di investire in questa isola meravigliosa. Abbiamo ampliato la proprietà originaria della famiglia, acquisendo e ristrutturando una serie di abitazioni limitrofe che costituiscono attualmente ciò che noi chiamiamo Borgo San Gaetano. BSG é un insieme di sei fra appartamenti e piccole case indipendenti, raccolte a ferro di cavallo attorno ad un verde giardino con alberi e piante mediterranee. Le proprietà si affacciano direttamente sul mare cristallino della spiaggia di Acquacalda di Lipari che offre uno dei più bei panorami dell'isola. Oggi vivo con la mia famiglia a Milano ma torno frequentemente a Lipari per occuparmi del nostro piccolo borgo. Abbiamo creato questo piccolo paradiso per la nostra famiglia e per i nostri figli , perché abbiano un loro punto di riferimento,essendo ormai cittadini del mondo. Abbiamo deciso di mettere in affitto le case nei periodi in cui noi non le utilizziamo personalmente. È per questo che i nostri ospiti hanno sempre la sensazione di stare come a casa propria, con tutte le comodità. Questo è e sarà sempre un posto magico, dove il tempo scorre lentamente ,che ti permette di allontanarti dai ritmi frenetici di tutti i giorni, dove ogni tramonto è unico ed ogni alba una sorpresa. Sarà per questo che continuo a tornarci immancabilmente ogni estate da 37 anni! ENGLISH I am from Sicily, but just in the summer 1979 I landed for the first time in Lipari, in the company of my current husband ( whose family originally come from this island ) and I fell in love at first sight. During all these years, we have travelled a lot for work and have lived in various European countries, experience that has allowed me to improve my language skills. Since then I returned to this place every single year, during my summer vacation, for long or short periods, together with my family, my children, for whom this place has become a real reference point. Over time we decided, together with other members of our family, to invest in this wonderful island. We have expanded the original family property, acquiring and renovating several neighbouring houses that currently make up what today we call Borgo San Gaetano. BSG is a set of six of apartments and small independent houses, gathered around a green garden with trees and Mediterranean plants. The properties overlook the crystal-clear waters of the beach of Acquacalda Lipari which offers one of the finest views of the island. Today I live with my family in Milan, but I go back frequently to Lipari to take care of our little village. We have created this little paradise for our family and for our children, because they have their own point of reference, being now citizens of the world. We decided to rent out the houses in periods when we do not we use it personally. That's why our guests always have the feeling of being at home, with all the conveniences. This is and will always be a magical place, where the sands of time runs slow, letting you get away from the hectic pace of everyday life, where each sunset is unique and each dawn surprise. That must be why I unfailingly keep coming back, every summer since 37 years!
