I had a bad experience in the stay and here's why. Dimitra has a cabinet in kitchen literally full of kitchen-wares almost in the amount of a small dinning restaurant. After a week she confined me to using 2 of her dishes, 2 bowls, a couple knifes/spoons and one cup, a separate set of cooking utensils that she doesn't use herself, adding 'No More' angrily. She dictated that i only use those i was given, with a reason that i "didn't clean the dishes in her sink, but she didn't care to ask whether i was the person using those dishes (there was another guest in the flat) and indicted me directly. The lack of reasoning is out of place; If she has a phobia with strangers maybe she should not lease her flat to anyone in the first place. Her attitude made me feel being treated as a third world refugee / a maid / or a prisoner that she condescends towards. But i'm a guest who paid for my accommodation, and i cleaned the dishes i used. Dimitra refused to clarify her address prior to my arrival, saying "the address is already given" to me. On the night of my arrival, to my dismay, I went to another location, with almost exactly the same address, which was provided by the map in the listing. So i thought i had to take a bus to it 7 km from bus station, which i did, and then i took another one BACK where her actual place located. I carry 2 backpacks and i had about 25 kg of things on my body, walked around the city as a newcomer, exhausted and almost lost, saved only by the help of some shop keepers along the street. Dimitra instructed that i should call her on the phone for notice of arrival, i mean, i don't have a sim card, how should i call her? So she expected i should buy some form of calling service or ask people for help, so fine, i did that too. When i did arrive at the property she was at the building entrance and gave me sulking expression and reprimanded me "why did you go to the center" as if i offended her by showing up late ( it was around 11 pm ) and that she had a busy schedule which is to fetch her son at the airport. I told her my arrival would be at night and yet she planned her own things, whether or not that's objectively important to her personally does not mean it is appropriate to allot the meeting time of her new paid guest with such brink of a time. After this infuriating entry, we coalesced briefly; which i believe anyone would given that there will be a month of stay to come. She offered some cakes and tea, i suppose that's a kind gesture and i thank her for that. Over the next few days i thought the stay would then be pleasant up until that point what i mentioned in my first paragraph. To add to the condescending, subjugating attitude of Dimitra was her authoritarian, instructive way to treat me. "Make sure to do not use the washing machine without asking me.", the tone of speech: imperatives: DON'T. Like it's some prized jewel that no one can touch; like i am receiving an order. On the other hand, in her listing it was said there was no washing machine, i was like ok, i can hand wash my clothes, then some days in, she changed her mind and told me Don't hand wash, give the clothes to her; And i gave my clothes to her, and she added, buy your own washing powder and fair enough, i did, i bought 900g of it, but i was not clarified that it should be hand-washing powder because she explained afterwards that there would be too much foam. After that i didn't want to use her washing machine and resumed washing clothes by myself; despite the fact that she has a fully functional, normal washing machine which she puts in small rooms with a locked door. Dimitra shared food on several occasions and i appreciated her offerings but it did not undo the bad feelings she gave me with her attitude, authoritarianism, or in layman's words i feel like i wasn't a paid guest but some subordinates that she imposes her will and restrictions upon. I believe "domestic tyranny" sums up her treatment towards people who are supposed to be guests. Her apartment, strictly physically in itself, make no mistake, was more pleasant than the photos showed, which equally surpassed my expectations. A balcony flourishing with green plants, a lot of jars containing home made preserved vegetables; many tiny art pieces and classical paintings around the house; just an immaculate amount of details to savor observing, but most of the time i hide in my room with closed door, because of what attitude she gave me; as well as at time the clamors she and her friends make in the kitchen/living room; sometimes early in the morning, or just some load talking as if there are nobody else in the flat to be considerate towards. At night the ample, spacious living room with cozy sofas are her mini theatre, with a television turned on to any volume she wanted, and so i stayed in my room with a shut door. I mean surely there's nothing wrong if she lived by herself or just with her own family but i mean again, there are guests from airbnb. It was as if lodging couple people in their rooms and impose domestic tyranny and then enjoy her own house all she wants is all she cared. I will point out it is ridiculous that my stay wasn't really 'my stay' but every thing that went wrong with how she behaved - until the last ten days she was away in which i could

I started my studies here in Greece and this is how I came to Dimitra. I feel very welcome and accepted here. Dimitra is very supportive and caring but also respects the privacy of others. Η διαμονή μου στο δωμάτιο της κ. Δήμητρας μου άφησε εξαιρετικές εντυπώσεις. Ευγενική, εξυπηρετική, φιλόξενη και πολύ χαρούμενος άνθρωπος, με έκανε να αισθάνομαι σαν να είμαι σπίτι μου, δεν μου έλειψε τίποτα.
