Don’t stay here. Before booking this house please read the reviews as most of the issues we have experienced has been going since 2017. A beautiful setting in a beautiful town but unfortunately the host is non responsive, unhelpful, unpleasant and unprofessional. On the day of checkin we had still not heard from the host so we had to contact Airbnb. Advert is misleading. There are not 4 bedrooms but only 2. There is a room downstairs but it was locked and a locksmith had to come open it the next day. The unit was filthy, old rubbish left behind. Dirty pots and pans. Shower leaked. There was wildfire in the area and we had been told by residents to evacuate only to be told by the host Michelle that there was no threat “ it really irritates me when clients are just looking for a discount, if you can’t afford it don’t stay in it” this was very upsetting as the area was put on high alert and she had no regard for our safety. We are very unhappy with our experience with Michelle

The very first day we arrived at Michelle's place, we got misleading directions and could not get ahold of the host upon arrival. We waited outside for hours before a neighbour finally assisted us, luckily she had Michelle's number. Michelle claimed to have no knowlede of our booking, furthermore, there were no keys and no one to meet us on the site, we had to fork out another R4 000 to book for another place as a family of eight. The day we checked in, terrible drive in, tiranchulas everywhere, trees blocking the entrance, the house is not a four bedroom as advertised either, it is a 2 bedroom with a secluded downstairs workers' cottage. In the ad, it states there is machinery for laundry, but these were locked away in an inaccessible garage, we had to travel about 40 minutes to a laundromat since the house is in a remote and unkempt location. The ad was misleading in many ways, inc extra costs for electricity. Cleaning not provided even basic gardening or maintenance of the pool.

The house is nice, it looks exactly as the pictures…Michelle is an amazing host,the only people who are letting her down are the care takers of the house….The house was not cleaned,the dust and the hair all over the place,we had to sweep the floor before getting in with our luggages,the linen and the sheets was never changed there were stains all over the linen even on the cushion covers ,The pool wasn’t cleaned we had to wait for the care taker to clean it before using it….otherwise we had an okey stay

Wow, what a wonderful time in this fantastic family home. Words can't describe the surreal sunset we got to experience and the fresh ocean breaze every morning. Thank you Caryn for checking us in and being patient and professional and lastly thank you to Michelle for sharing your home with us. We have made life long memories this past weekend in Scarborough ❤.

This was a great stay. My kids and I had the most beautiful day in the pool and then ended with an epic braai next to the pool. It's in the form of an amphitheatre that overlooks Scarborough and had the most intense sunsets. Will love to go back.
