We are located on Bennett Street - a tree-lined cul-de-sac in the quiet North Newtown area. We love our quiet street and the surrounding area because it is full of interesting people and beautiful homes. Hollis Park is a 2 minute walk away and King Street with all of its restaurants, bars and shops is a 1 minute walk away.
Newtown has some of the best restaurants/food experiences in Sydney. The Sydney Morning Herald describes Newtown & Enmore as 'the most happening food scene in Sydney':
- Carriageworks Markets on Saturday morning – 2 minute walk
- Trendy cafes with excellent coffee, pastries and brunch – less than 5 minute walk
- Dozens ofawesome restaurants: Italian, Thai, Japanese, Mexican, Middle Eastern, Mod Aus all within 5-10 minute walk
- There is great night life in the area: catch a gig at the Enmore Theatre, go to the local independent cinema or check out the trendy cocktail bars and traditional pubs.
We are walking distance to neighbouring cool suburbs: Erskineville, Enmore, Eveleigh, Redfern and Glebe.

We are well-located for everything you wish to see and do in Sydney. We have great public transport options nearby that will take you quickly and easily into the City, Circular Quay, The Rocks, Taronga Zoo, to the Eastern Beaches, to the Blue Mountains.
Our house is a 15-20 min taxi/Uber to the airport .
Walking:
Our house is walkable for all of Newtown, Enmore, Darlington, Erskineville, Stanmore, Camperdown and most of Marrickville.
Train:
We are a 5 minute walk to Macdonald Town Train Station (T2 line; quickest way into the city - 5 minutes to Central Station).
We are a 13 minute walk to Redfern station (more lines available here: T1, T2, T3, T4, T7, T8, T9, Blue Mountains, South Coast, Central Coast - 4 minutes to central station).
We are also a 15 minute walk to Newtown Station (T2, T3), or a 10 minute walk to Erskineville Station (T3).
Car:
Parking is available on the streets surrounding our house. There is a mix of 1-hour, 2-hour, and all-day free parking around. We can help you find an all-day if needed but we cannot guarantee you will get one. We cannot provide parking permits.
Bus:
The closest stops for getting into the city and returning home are on King Street - a 1 minute walk from our home.
The 423, 426, 428, 430 will get you into the city and back to King Street.
The 370 goes between Glebe and Coogee Beach, which is great if going for a swim! The 352 goes between Marrickville and Bondi Junction via Oxford Street, so is great for checking out Paddington or making your way to Bondi and surrounding beaches.
Cycling:
Plenty of good cycle lanes to get around, including on Wilson Road just next to our house which goes into the city. You may secure bikes in our back courtyard if need.
