Westgate Cottage is a wonderful holiday home with a fabulous garden in a great position, tucked away quietly from the road in the very popular village of Thornham. With supremely comfortable beds and four bathrooms, it offers lots of privacy and space for larger families or a group of friends. With supremely comfortable beds and four bathrooms, it offers lots of privacy and space for larger families or a group of friends. This large single-storey family-friendly holiday home comes with a fabulous enclosed garden, perfect for children. The cottage has a great kitchen leading through to spacious dining room, with conservatory off that and a good-size sitting room with two three seater sofas, beyond the dining room. There are four bedrooms; two doubles, one single and one-family room with a double and single bed, three en-suites and a family bathroom with cloakroom, making it easy to get ready when there's a full-house. The house is comfortable and easy to live in and very practical too with solid oak floors throughout the kitchen and reception rooms. To the rear of the property is a very large and very lovely private garden, laid mainly to lawn with mature trees and shrubs, making it a perfect place to spend sunny afternoons relaxing and long evenings catching the last of the sun's rays. With two terraces, one at the rear of the property and one set within the main garden area and garden furniture and gas barbecue there's no excuse for not dining alfresco. The cottage is within easy walking distance of all the excellent pubs and restaurants in the village, including the ever-popular Thornham Deli, The Orange Tree, The Lifeboat Inn and The Chequers and at the further end of the village there is Eric's Fish and Chips, Gurney's fishmongers and the fabulous Drove Orchard's farm shop with facilities to pick your own fruit. Westgate Cottage is also available as a sleeps four option using two of the bedrooms. Additional Information: Sorry, no pets.

A delightful cottage with a beautiful garden. We found it very comfortable and well-equiped and would highly recommend this property.
Amazing time, kids loved the huge garden and Eric’s and Thornham deli - couple of minutes from both. Orange Tree and chequers also great pubs within walking distance

Thornham is picturesque yet vibrant and is an old smuggling village right on the North Norfolk Coast. Wide expanses of salt marsh separate the village from the sea and it is a paradise for walkers and birdwatchers.
There are several great places to eat including Thornham Deli, selling all manner of local produce, cakes, specialities and great coffee (and breakfast and lunch too!), The Lifeboat Inn, an old smuggling haunt complete with heavy beams and roaring fires, is great for relaxed dining whilst The Orange Tree is a great gastro pub. You will love Drove Orchards at the end of the village, which started as a farm shop and pick-your-own-fruit farm, but which has now evolved into so much more! including a fresh fish bar and the renown Eric's fish and chips (such a cool place); you will adore the diversity of this little village right on the coast.
The beach, reached by a walk past the harbour and over the sea defence and over the salt marshes, is stunning and you will be rewarded by peace and quiet whatever time of year you are visiting. Outside of the village you will find other spectacular beaches; Old Hunstanton; Holme-next-the-Sea; Titchwell and Brancaster, where a few miles further don't miss one of the best beaches in the UK at Holkham Estate, where you can also explore the hall and its vast parkland.
At Wells-next-the-Sea you will adore crabbing on the quay or visit the seals at nearby Morston or Blakeney. HM The King's Sandringham Estate is close by as is the Titchwell RSPB Reserve, or head to Holme Dunes nature reserve run by the Norfolk Wildlife Trust.
