This place is exactly as it’s explained. Perfect serene escape and so private. Katja was very informative with things to do and see locally which was extremely helpful and her breakfast was delicious! I would certainly recommend this and return again.

Such a peaceful and great place to relax and unwind. The morning breakfast was really nice and great way to meet Katja! The pool and the view from the room added to the relaxation and the energy of this place. I’ll definitely be staying again!
Katja is so warm and welcoming in such a beautiful location. Was a great base to explore the hinterland with such a comfortable bed. The pool was fab during the heatwave. I would definitely recommend to solo travellers as you will feel right at home. So close to nature, I loved it.

Imagine a space of love and health, a space of embodied presence, that is the vision of our Serendip Guesthouse, located in the Byron Bay hinterland. Katja the new proprietor, is the spirit that holds this vision, her endless energy combines this and more, as a Yoga teacher, with her love for her children, as well as a healthy lifestyle. Influenced by ballet, gymnastics and art, whilst growing up in Germany she was not satisfied with her management accountant work in Germany, London and Sydney. She finally found her passion in yoga, mouth-watering and flavour packed vegetarian food, and a healthy lifestyle with her two young girls. Katja loves cooking and baking healthy irresistible dishes for her guests, inspired by books from award winning restaurants from all over the world.
