The bright triple aspect kitchen/ breakfast room forms the heart of the home, and is well-equipped with an Aga and Neff double oven, plus all the essentials any enthusiastic chef could need. There is plenty of space for everyone to spread out, with a choice of reception rooms, a games room hosting a small snooker table and football table, a playroom for younger children, as well as a large enclosed garden featuring a terrace and lawns. Three generous first floor bedrooms all have access to an en-suite bath or shower. For larger families, there is a sofa bed in the conservatory/ playroom which is suitable for accommodating two extra children, if required. Set in the quiet coastal village of Heacham, Cheney Hollow sits between the two shingled sandy beaches of North Beach and South Beach, ideal for long beach walks with your four legged friends! For larger groups the neighbouring cottage, Badger's Den, can be booked with Cheney Hollow. Please enquire for further details and pricing. The Aga will be turned on from the end of October to February. Exact dates may vary due to weather. Cheney Hollow is a traditional Norfolk cottage. The stairs are steeper than you might be used to at home, and there are multiple floor levels.
Boasting two dog-friendly beaches, Heacham village is a great seaside destination. The beach is a large shallow bay with sheltered water. Heacham features a good range of shops, amenities, and a couple of pubs; The Fox and Hounds or the West Norfolk. For those of who enjoy a round of golf or a spa day, Heacham Manor is a five-minute drive away. The famous Norfolk Lavender is located on the edge of the village; the purple fields are curates and nutures are truly breath-taking. Be sure to visit the fabulous farm shop to sample local produce. Just a fifteen-minute drive away is HM The King's residence, Sandringham House, which has a car park (small charge), cafe, restaurant, and a gift shop. If you fancy venturing further afield, but wish to leave the car behind, take the Coasthopper bus. The route traverses all the picturesque towns and villages along the coast.
You are in easy reach of everything North Norfolk has to offer, including bird and nature reserves, stunning expansive beaches with moody skies, wonderful delis, outstanding restaurants, and quaint cafes. The RSPB bird and wildlife reserves at Titchwell and Snettisham are worth a visit. BBC Springwatch and Autumnwatch are partly filmed at Wild Ken Hill, who also offer a variety of pre-bookable guided walks. Be sure to visit the impressive beach at Holkham and accompanying parkland. The traditional nearby bustling seaside town of Hunstanton comprises of a vivid plethora of ice cream parlours, delis, fish 'n' chip shops, sweet shops, crazy golf, arcades, water sport facilities, funfair and Sea Life Centre. Heacham and Hunstanton are unique in that they are East Coast that face west, meaning these locations are two of the sunniest resorts in Norfolk, and thus enjoy colourful, dramatic sunsets.
Food-lovers are perfectly located to sample the culinary delights the county is famed for. Book in for an outstanding fine dining experience at the supremely charming The Gin Trap Inn in Ringstead, the quaint and impressive Michelin starred restaurant The Neptune in Old Hunstanton, and The Old Bank bistro in Snettisham, or, for a lighter bite and delicious coffee, head to The Old Store, also in Snettisham.
