MANGA is a beautifully restored Goan heritage home located in the picturesque village in Aldona. A private, cosy, intimate space overlooking green paddy fields; ideally suited for families and small groups. It has 3 bedrooms (two with air-con) and two en suite bathrooms, a living room and a fully equipped kitchen with utilities. The sweet spot is the private swimming pool and the adjoining field facing veranda. It also has an inverter and Wi-fi. There is no TV, by choice. Complimentary B/fast. Welcome to Manga! Named MANGA (Mango in Portuguese) after the big mango tree in the villa that offers a generous crop of mangoes every summer, this villa is set in a beautiful, quaint field facing location in Aldona - one of the most beautiful villages in North Goa. This is is an idyllic getaway that gives you a glimpse of the regular Goan village life. Waking up to birdsong and the honk of the local 'poi' vendor to experiencing verdant paddy fields, you are immersed in tranquillity. Away from the 'happening' Goa and yet accessible to it, if a holiday is meant to recoup, re-energise and most importantly re-tune with yourself and your family and friends; then this is the perfect spot for you! Adding to the charm, there are many scenic walking and cycling routes. You could also hire a scooter or car and head to the beach or night spot of your choice. We do advise hiring a vehicle to help you move around. Aldona is one of the most beautiful and charming villages of Goa and has a full fledged market, pharmacy and provision store within 15 mins from MANGA. The 400 + year old St. Thomas Church is worth a visit for it's amazing architecture. There also is a fort located in Corjeum in Aldona. Walking around our village, Panarim will lead you to the most amazing spots and are little discoveries to unfold. About the Home: 1)The home itself is an old Goan home, with select antiques, beautifully restored with vintage touches and modern art. It has 3 spacious rooms (two with air-con) and two en-suite modern bathrooms. Each room has wooden writing desks and electrical points for your laptop, to help you get on with work (if you must!). We also have an additional room with en-suite bathroom for any accompanying staff. 2) The kitchen is fully functional with toaster, gas, refrigerator, tea kettle etc. We do not have a live in caretaker so please be self sufficient and help yourselves around the home. 3) We believe in a sustainable model that benefits the village at large hence the use of local village services is encouraged. 4) Taxi/Hire Service: We can assist you with taxi pick ups to and from the airport. We are also happy to share contacts for scooter / car rentals. 5) Our house help will clean the house everyday. 6)FOOD: Breakfast is complimentary and we if you are happy with simple, home cooked yummy food for lunch, we can help with a cook at extra cost. Only available for lunch and at prior notice. 7) Pool Dimensions: 4mtsX3mts and a depth of 4.5 ft - this is a private pool with the villa A lot of love has gone into creating this cosy space and we are happy to share its energy and vibe with you.
