This cottage is located in Coorg in the middle of a verdant, green coffee plantation where we grow robusta coffee inter-planted with pepper and arecanut. Looking for a getaway - limited cell phone coverage, green all around, great views and quiet - this might just be the place for you. We have recently redecorated this cottage (built circa 1907) in honour of "Victoria" Gowramma. To top it off, you can buy the coffee we grow at Vaishnavi Estate besides getting a *free* plantation tour. The heritage structure was built around 1907 and was renovated in 2015. The previous owners of the property used to live here. We have tried to retain most of the old structure and settings - like red oxide flooring; low main door. The bathrooms have been modernized (obviously !) - and have added a UPS. In the winter the house is warmer than the outside and in the summer it is cooler inside. :) - by design - no AC or heater ! There are double beds in each room - so when selecting the place for more than 4 guests - please make sure you have figured out the sleeping arrangements. 6 guests have been accommodated in the past - but I wanted to make sure it was mentioned here. The bathrooms have geysers for a warm/hot water bath. Breakfast is part of the package when you book with us. However, the cottage where breakfast (or optional lunch/dinner) is about 100 meters away from this cottage. So be ready for a short walk to increase your appetite.
