We didn’t have a great experience at Carmel’s rental. The smoke alarm was going off when we arrived, disrupting my 2 year olds sleep. Despite reaching out to the host multiple times, they were unresponsive. Replying several hours later, we had already found a ladder and climbed to remove the battery. No response was had after that. The battery was not replaced by the host during our stay. I requested a late checkout via Airbnb message and text message but was left on “seen” without any further communication. It was incredibly unprofessional & disrespectful. I understand if there was new guests coming but we didn’t even receive a reply. Also, while the property provides many great extras there is still a quite a few personal belongings that should be removed. I would not recommend staying at this property if you value communication.

Such a beautiful house, and well maintained. We loved the pool and playing table tennis out the back. Easy to walk to the beach and into town. Carmel was a fantastic host and very responsive when we asked for an early check in!

The house was set up extremely well for set up to guarantee a lovely stay. Towels ready to use for the pool, an abundance of spaces to sit and relax alone or with the group. Backyard access to the river, perfect for a spot of fishing or stand up paddling boarding. Easy stroll to cafes, shops and beaches.

We had a wonderful stay! A highlight for us was kayaking to the lake along the canals with the kids. The outlook to the canals and seeing all the bird life was lovely and we all really enjoyed swimming in the pool. A great place for a family to stay with so much to do, kayaking, riding bikes, table tennis. And the location was great, close to everything, shops and beach! Would highly recommend!

Great Host easy and smooth transactions. Place is adorable, quite and surroundings were beautiful and relaxing. We had a wonderful time thank you.
