The stay at the Island was exactly what we wanted and more. The hosts were extremely responsive, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure we had all of our needs met and questions answered in order to have a good experience. The home was lovely and so peaceful. The cabin is designed with simple and elegant details. The space was perfect for long nights of peaceful sleep, quiet mornings spent reflecting, and lovely trails to get some fresh air. It was a special place to spend time at and the kindness of the hosts made it all the more special. We would recommend to anyone looking for solitude in beauty. We opted to walk from the parking spot to the lake and felt it was a very reasonable walk- just turn left at the T and know you may see some farm animals along the way.

Desde que cruzamos el lago Tagua Tagua, quedamos maravillados por la belleza natural de las zona y este lugar único. La cabaña, perfectamente integradas en el entorno, ofrecía comodidad y sobre todo autenticidad y un carácter único. La verdadera joya de este alojamiento es la oportunidad de reconectar con la naturaleza y las cosas esenciales de la vida. La ausencia de distracciones tecnológicas nos permitió disfrutar unos días de tiempo de calidad y apreciar la belleza natural que nos rodeaba. Vistas impresionantes, aguas cristalinas y noches estrelladas simplemente mágicas. Recomendaría este alojamiento a cualquiera que busque una aventura única y auténtica. El anfitrión fue excepcionalmente atento y amable. Desde el momento de la reserva hasta nuestra partida, estuvo disponible para responder a todas nuestras dudad y necesidades. Nos proporcionó información detallada sobre la isla, su historia y la comunidad del lago Las Rocas. Gracias por una experiencia única.

What a place! If you've never seen heaven on Earth, this is it. The adventure started in Puerto Varas; you'll need to be patient to wait for the ferries ('barcazas') that will transport you across the Tagua Tagua lake; arrive EARLY! Gravel roads were in good shape. The transit through forrests and country side on a cartwheel led by a tractor gave the trip such an adventourous tone. Once on the Island, Leando awaits for you, with clear and helpful instructions. He will remain at the host's house, 150m away from you but will check in constantly and provide you with radios. The cabin is clean, beautiful, functional and quiet, and it's at a perfect distance from the shore. The dock was one of our favourite spots, and if anything, it is only missing a pair of lounge chairs or adirondacks and perhaps a kayak or stand up paddle board. The place is so beautiful and quiet, we would wake up every morning past 9AM. This is the perfect place to truly rest and disconnect yourself. Amazing!

excelente cabaña, muy linda, con todo lo necesario para alojar desconectado de todo, descansamos mucho. Leandro estuvo pendiente de todo y nos facilitó todo, volveremos a ir pero más días. Su gente muy amable, quienes nos transportaron para llegar a la isla.

An absolutely unique experience! Well worth the difficult journey. There are not many places with pristine and beautiful nature like this in the world. We spent several days enjoying the solitude of Catherine's place and exploring the beautiful lake. We also caught two lovely rainbow trout from a kayak that went down a treat on the BBQ
