Fabulous place. Beautiful location. We had an excellent dinner cooked by Danielle which was a great bonus. The only thing I would recommend is to take wetsuits for the pool- it’s a bit chilly!

This seemed pricey when I booked it, but with river access, use of small craft, indoor swimming pool with lots of fun items, sizeable grassed garden, spacious indoor accommodation for 10, loads of books, games, patio furniture etc it's made a fantastic family holiday. We were an extended family group age 10-70+ and despite a wish list of 'attractions' spent most of the week on-site. We needed to self-cater, the kitchen area was good, lots of hob/oven pans etc. Road access is interesting but was well described. Sun hits the outside spaces all day and sunsets are spectacular. Views from upstairs bedrooms stunning. Seals accompanied our water activities which are definitely restricted to 2hrs either side of high water, but there is access in Dittisham to a beach with 24/7 launching if you bring your own craft. Birdwatching [waders] in the winter must be amazing and Peter left his telescope set up for us. Location is a very peaceful environment, a small creek on the edge of the village.

Lovely place, lovely host. Peter left a delicious cream tea for our arrival, which was very much appreciated. He was great at coming back to us with a couple of questions we had. A great place for some quiet family time and lovely to go out on the water. Fantastic facilities in the house and a very sweet village too.

Peter was an amazing host. We needed a parasol as the sun was relentless and within 24 hours we had a brand new one. Nothing was too much trouble. House is lovely, warm and the main house is very modern. The view is breath taking and we enjoyed nothing more than taking the boats out on the lake. This is a quiet holiday location - not for anyone looking to play loud music and be loud.

This is probably one of the best Airbnb houses in the UK. This location in this village is unsurpassed. It is a natural bay which is quiet but located in one of the most vibrant holiday villages in the UK which is very close to the sea. It enables a boat trip to Salcombe in less than an hour while at the same time retaining all of its charm. The house is perfectly laid out and Peter is a brilliant host.
