Lovely place to stay, really quiet and in the nature of the wonderful forest. Perfect for walking the dog in the morning. The place was very clean, simple instructions to get in and had everything we needed. We travel to Fontainebleau most years for climbing and this was a great spot. We'd come back again!

Frédéric's accommodation was perfect and met all of our needs. Although on the other side of the forest from Fontainebleau town, it is very close to most of the bouldering areas for climbing. There is excellent WiFi for 4 of us to work remotely at the same time, with the signal never dropping. Frédéric was always fast to respond and very accommodating. Check in was easy. One thing to highlight is bed sheets and towels are extra. They aren't much to pay, but it's just something to highlight. The house was cosy for 4 adults, but we never felt too cramped. The house is modern, but still very peaceful surrounded by forest. Would recommend.

We spent ten days here in late-august 2023 and were very happy in this comfortable gite. I worked remotely via wi-fi while my wife tended to our two children both under the age of 3. The yard offers plenty of room for the kids; they had a lot of fun with the swingset and trampoline. The private patio allowed for easy outdoor dining, facing the vast neighboring field. Everything in the house was clean, all of the equipment was modern and functional, and conveniently organized. The property is literally on the GR 1, that is france's extensive network of wonderful hiking trails (see Fed Francaise de Grande Randonnée, FFGR), at the junction of another local trail, offering opportunities for taking nice walks in multiple directions. And within a fifteen minute drive there are a lot of things to do and sites to see, a lot of great outdoor fun for the family (including a heated outdoor swimming pool with slides at Buthiers).
