This was the second time I stayed at Sveins cabin and we again had a wonderful time. The cabin is easy to reach from Tromsø and at the same time you are surrounded by nature. The communication with Svein was great as well, he was very helpful and responded quickly. I will definitely return and recommend staying there!

Nous avons beaucoup aimé l’expérience de vivre dans cette cabine, en pleine nature, sans voisinage et dans un mode de vie minimaliste. L’accueil de Svein était parfait, il a pris le temps de nous expliquer comment tout fonctionne et nous a prêté du matériel pour rendre le séjour plus confortable, comme des batteries portables pour charger les téléphones, des lampes de poches et des raquettes pour les déplacements. Nous ne vous conseillons pas de prévoir de cuisiner tous vos repas dans le logement car sans eau courante, il est difficile de cuisiner et de faire la vaisselle. Néanmoins Svein prévoit de vous apporter des bidons d’eau si besoin. Pour terminer, si vous cherchez un logement authentique, pas loin de la ville mais suffisamment pour pouvoir apercevoir des aurores boréales depuis le jardin et des rennes passer devant le logement de temps à autre, ce logement est fait pour vous.

We enjoyed an entire week in the cabin at the start of November - it was a truly unique experience. The cabin is incredibly cozy, featuring a central wood stove, a comfortable sofa, and a stunning view of nature during our breakfasts. On clear nights, we saw the Northern Lights, different colors every night, truly incredible! No need to drive somewhere else! As others have already written, you have to walk from the street to the cabin, there is no running water (but a sauna) and you have to keep the fire running constantly. I am 6 months pregnant and had a great time there. Despite being in the middle of nowhere, we always had good phone reception. Svein was incredibly helpful and responded promptly at all times. We didn't see any other human while we were there. Would I return? Absolutely Yes - Is it for everyone? Definitely not. So, if you come to Tromso seeking adventure, don't mind a short walk, and are willing to tend to the fire — the cabin is the perfect place for you!!!

We had a fabulous stay at the cabin and saw lots of wildlife :) The cabin is in a great location, not too far from Tromsø but still in the middle of nature. Svein was very friendly and helpful and easy to communicate with. We highly appreciated our stay at his cabin.
