This is our second time renting from Juan and we just love this gated community! The unit definitely needs some TLC… The condo was located right near the (working) hot tub, steps from a pool (the one with the waterslide that only works on Saturday and Sunday afternoons) basketball court and the heated front pool. The beach was also only a 2 min walk. A tip about the pools, bring water shoes, the rocks around the pool are loose and are very rough on your feet… The condo had all the important appliances, coffee maker, Toaster, blender etc. It had a few pool tubes to use at the lazy river, golf clubs, tennis rackets, plenty of beach towels and a George Forman grill that just plugged in. There were extra blankets and linens (another review said there wasn't, there is now) We were a party of 12 so we actually rented 2 condos. The other condo was dirt cheap but was missing so many key appliances and didn't have a terrace. Granted it was $700 cheaper and I could have just bought my own missing appliances at that price lol I just really wanted the rooftop terrace.... Which turned out not to be as beautiful as the photos 😞 In my opinion, the rooftop condos should put more care into the terrace since it is the main renting point. No one wants to truck up 2 flights of stairs each day to a condo with a crappy terrace. I'd have rather a first floor (like our other cheap condo) if I known it was going to be like that. All in all, between the two condos we made it work and it really was an affordable vacation rental for a large group. Hard to complain when the rental prices in Aquatika are so affordable... But pictures should match from the listing... So figured I'd give some details from our trip in hopes things possible get fixed... I had read in reviews that the extra living area near the rooftop terrace had a futon, this was not the case. It had a very broken down pool table and no working stick to even play. They were all broken. Probably a good thing because the table was very wobbly and felt like a good lean on it might make it fall over... The kids were thrilled to see a pool table rather then the futon and were rather unhappy there was no way to use it... Most importantly, the listing should have mentioned what was in the upstairs bonus room, I shouldn't have had to file through reviews to try and figure it out... The listing really doesn't mention anything except the grounds... I want to say the only reason I gave 3 stars was because of the moldy furnature on the roof top deck, a water filled fire pit and moldy cushions at the table (the pictures of the rooftop deck were a big reason why we chose this place) the stove didn't work (nore were we told prior to our stay so actually tried to use it and realized our food was barely cooking...) we had some air conditioning issues that left us with a wide opening in our wall the last night... **Juan was very responsive! We even locked ourselves out one day and he had someone there in 20 min to help** Door to the unit did not shut right unless you literally slammed it and the screen door was ripped. We contacted Juan that 2 AC units were not working. One was blowing out a weird smell and the other had made a popping sound and blew out a bunch of black smoke. When we came home from the beach the next day, rather then having a fixed unit or a do not use sign, one entire unit was missing from the wall and the dresser was pushed over to cover what it could. It wasnt big enough to cover the whole opening... It was in the kids room and they were freaked out lizards were gonna crawl in. Two of the kids chose to sleep on the (rather uncomfortable) couch. I felt like they should not have taken the whole AC unit out, should have waited until we left the next day. They cleaned the other AC units as well that day and left a ton of dust on both of the bedroom beds... There were 4 ACs total so we made do by leaving doors open when the first one smelt funny, but when the second one went 2 days before our departure, we needed something done. We did not expect what we came back too... We really like Aquatika and I feel Juan is a great host. I would not rent this particular unit again unless the terrace was updated with non moldy furnature and the bonus room upstairs was made useful to guests. I cant see paying extra for unusable space. But I would absolutely come back to Aquatika.

Great place for families. Spacious apartement with lot of items to play. Lots of pools and amenities to stay active all day and a spectacular sunset at the beach. Excellent communication with host.

I stayed with my family in Aquatika in the middle of July. Aquatika is a really big complex with many pools, including a long lazy river. Given the length of the complex, many of the apartments are far from the beach, but this apartment (Best Spot) is in the BEST stretch of the complex: close to the beach and in front of the main pool with the slide. The apartment in general needs some TLC, but it was clean and was very comfortable in terms of accommodations; it even had more space (beds) than I thought. The upper floor also has a futon, but it is very hot in that part of the house and the ceiling fan didn't work properly. The apartment has one central a/c in the lower floor, but we assumed it wasn't working properly because the air didn't reach the kitchen or the living room. It was very warm, hot sometimes, which was a bit uncomfortable. And the curtains seemed to be broken, so we couldn't open them to allow the breeze in. However, there is a ceiling fan above the couch, which worked perfectly. The living room has a tv, but it is small and not a smart tv, so bring your own streaming media player. All of the bedrooms have a/c though, and the beds were comfortable. The apartment has a washer and dryer, but there was no detergent (and we didn't bring), so we didn't use it. There were no extra linens or blankets, but there were plenty of extra towels for large groups. The kitchen is good, but the drawers need updating. It has the necessary appliances, but the pans need replacing. The second floor has a large terrace, but it doesn't have a usable BBQ/Grill, so we didn't spend time there. The beach was great, so being at walking distance was a plus. And being in front of the pool with the slide was perfect for my 3-year-old niece. We also enjoyed our trips through the lazy river, especially my niece and nephew. The communication with the host wasn’t the best. I messaged him several times prior to my stay, but got no response. Finally, one week before my stay, I managed to reach him outside the Airbnb app. After that, we communicated a few more times with no problems. Ultimately, the vacation was great. There were some things that could have been better, especially the air conditioning/ventilation of the apartment, but we are not too uptight about things, so we had a good time. And the host allowed us a late check-out which was great. The property works because of its comfortable space and great location within the complex, just maybe bring a couple of fans and you’ll be golden.

Excelente depa, me encanto. Muy bonito decorado y muy equipado. Cuanta con absolutamente TODO. Tiene piscinas y playa, no hay más nada que pedir. Es perfecto, se los recomiendo al 💯!!!
