Preston Beach Escape is a beautifully curated two-story house built in the late 1980s. It promises a fantastic retreat from summer’s heat and a warm, cosy embrace through the winter months. Here, your stay transforms into an adventure of creating cherished memories, set against sun-soaked summers and crisp winters. Step through the doorway and ascend the stairs to discover an open-plan sanctuary where the kitchen, dining, and living areas unite. Slide back the curtains, step onto the balcony, and breathe in deeply; the air here is unmatched in its freshness and purity. Witness the gentle lives of kangaroo families grazing on the verge and birds fluttering in the garden, a simple joy of nature’s company. Nestled on this level, each bedroom serves as a serene haven, promising rest and rejuvenation after days brimming with adventure. The main bedroom, adorned with a luxurious king-size bed, offers direct balcony access, creating the perfect nook for relaxation. The second and third bedrooms, equipped with queen and double beds respectively, ensure comfort for every guest. Embrace the ease of climate control with updated split-system air conditioning throughout the living spaces, bedrooms, and study, ensuring comfort regardless of the season. Cold winters transform into cosy retreats beside the warm, inviting glow of our electric fireplace - a simple push of a button ignites warmth without fuss. The heart of the home, the kitchen, is fully equipped to inspire your culinary adventures. Picture evenings spent on the balcony, BBQ sizzling as the sun dips below the horizon, painting Yalgorup National Park and the lake in hues of fire and gold.

This beach house is beautiful throughout the entirety of the space with the decoration and attention to detail above and beyond. Lana has perfected the space leaving nothing behind, it really feels like a home away from home. If you are after a stay to immerse in nature, relax and unwind without travelling to far from the city this place is where it’s at. We will definitely be back. Thanks Lana for allowing us to stay in your humble abode ☺️
I stayed at Lana’s for a lovely girls weekend. We really enjoyed our time here. So many lovely little touches everywhere. Beautiful furniture and linen. Great kitchen supplies. Games. Books. Puzzles. We just did a food shop at singleton on the way in and parked ourselves at the house for the whole weekend. The patio area under the house was perfect for just lounging in the whole day with a margarita, while playing cards, reading or having a go at bocce. Nice walk to the beach and fairly decent coffee at the footprints cafe. Though there is a pod coffee machine at the house which was great too. Such a welcoming house and wonderful host. We were all taking design notes and I’ve just ordered the chair hammock that we all fell in love with! Will definitely be back with the family too. Thank you!
Absolutely gorgeous! From the outside all the way through to inside the house, Lana has kept the place impeccably luxurious and tidy with great attention to detail. We thoroughly enjoyed your lovely hideaway and was most thrilled by the birds visiting. Thank you for being a gracious host, we appreciate your prompt communication and instructions on how to access the property.
We really enjoyed the tranquility at Lana’s. It was magical to wake up in the morning and hear the birds chirping and be able to watch all the different types of birds visit the garden during the day. The house is beautifully presented and has everything you could possibly need. We hope to be back to visit in the future ☺️

Preston is a peaceful coastal town primarily consisting of holiday homes and retirees.
The town is situated between a national park and the ocean. This location provides many opportunities to witness wildlife, such as birds that visit the gardens and kangaroos that roam around the town.
You can access the beach either by a pedestrian path or by 4WD. Preston Beach is a vast stretch of sand with enough space to relax and unwind.
Bring your golf clubs and play a round on the course that extends around the town. Though it is not a busy course, it is full of kangaroos.
Visit the community garden to grab some herbs and other goodies growing there. All you need to do is make a small donation in honour of the garden.
The General Store and Footprints are available for takeaways or meals.
Although Preston Beach is secluded, you can explore breweries, wineries, charming country towns, and the Lake Clifton Thrombolites.
Take the Old Coast Road to reach Mandurah, begin your journey to find The Giants, and spend a day around Mandurah.
Preston is a hidden gem and perfect for disconnecting from the hustle and bustle of city life.
You can easily explore the township on foot. However, as the population in the area is low, there aren't many footpaths available.
It will take you approximately 20 minutes to walk to the beach. On the other hand, if you prefer to drive, plenty of parking bays and picnic areas are available, along with public toilets, showers, and grassed areas.
Alternatively, you can drive directly onto the beach through two access slips. I recommend you deflate your tyres before moving onto the soft sand. You can re-inflate them at the General Store.
One important thing to note is that driving on the sand dunes is prohibited, as they are protected.
