WHAT TO SEE:
1) The observation tower on Korneti Dzerve hill, which is located in the village of Korneti, in the nature reserve "Korneti - Peļļi", is 27 m high and is available 24 hours a day. From the upper platform of the tower, you can see the picturesque nature of the Alūksne-Hanja highlands (Estonia) with lakes, hills, and farmsteads across the edges of the forests. The peak of Zerve Hill reaches 203.5 m above sea level. It is located 3.7 km from Muuski.
2) Drusku Pilskalns (Drusku Hill) - 247 m high, it opens up the magnificent natural views of Alūksne Hill and Estonia's highest peak - Suur Munamägi. It is located 2.7 km from Muuski.
3) Katiņkalns - park/playground with a swing, various interesting environmental objects, and a viewing platform from which to enjoy the picturesque landscape of Veclaicene. It is located 2.6 km from Muuski.
NATURE TRAILS:
If you want to go for a walk or a bike ride through the nearby nature trails - Veclaicene is rich in specially designated trails for nature lovers.
1) We recommend going on a challenging hike through the 7 km long Peļļi Nature Trail - the trail leads along the Peļļi Ravine eroded by glacial melting waters, whose four lakes form a natural Latvian-Estonian border and allows you to visit the part of Estonia called Devil's Land (Paganamaa). Along the route, it is possible to see the vast stone piles in the ancient Vorotkas and climb the Paganam observation tower, from which you can see the scenery of Robežgrava with a series of lakes, as well as the hills of Latvia on the other side of the lakes.
2) For an adventurous bike ride amidst charming natural scenery, we highly recommend Druska Trail. Spanning 12.6 km, this route is perfect for active cyclists seeking an exhilarating ride along the Latvian-Estonian border. Prepare to be captivated by the enchanting landscapes of Veclaicene, with stunning views of Estonia visible just beyond the border posts.

There is free parking available on the property premises.
If you arrive by bus:
Muuski is located quite far from nearby bus stations, the closest being Ape and Aluksne City. We offer our guests a free transfer from the bus stop to our complex. This option is available by arranging it at least 3 days prior to arrival and is subject to availability.
