The exploitation of silver and cobalt has come to a standstill here but Jáchymov (Joachimsthal), with its royal mint (now a museum), is commemorated forever in the word “dollar” that finds its origin here: thaler > daalder > tolar > dollar. All the facilities of a top ski resort are present here: parking lots, ski and snowboard rental, ski school and buffets. There are 9 ski tows, varying in length from 300 to 1000 meters. As for the level of difficulty, there are mostly light and average ski runs, two of which are lit at night. For snowboarders there is a special park.
