This cozy 4/5 person apartment is situated close to Lake Lipno, in the Sumava National Park. Not only are there water sports facilities nearby, but also inviting tourist destinations like Frymburk, Lipno, Horni Plana on Lake Lipno and the UNESCO town of Cesky Krumlov, not to mention the unforgettable and beautiful nature of the Bohemian forest. The house was renovated in 2004 and is surrounded on three sides by a garden which includes a swing, sandbox and other children's facilities. Cars can be parked within a fenced area. From the veranda (where bicycles can be parked) you come into a hall which has a separate toilet. The living room is furnished with a classic table and chairs, a buffet, wood-burning stove (wood is provided free of charge), television with Czech and Austrian channels, a radio with CD player and two sofas, which can be used as beds. The bedroom is furnished with a double bed and a wardrobe. The kitchen is equipped with a toaster, 4-burner ceramic stove with electric oven, kettle, microwave and refrigerator. In the bathroom there is a bathtub with shower, sink, hair dryer and washing machine. An ironing board and iron are also available. On the 1st floor there is a bedroom with two single beds, a children's bed and a play corner. In the spacious second room you will find a sofa and some cabinets, and enough space for children to play. There is an extra toilet upstairs. The house is heated by electric radiators but you can use the wood-burning stove for additional warmth. The accommodation is only 5 kilometers from Lake Lipno, the largest recreational lake in the Czech Republic. Here you can enjoy swimming, water sports and fishing, or sunbathe on the beaches or in the meadows. In the vicinity you will also find the Vltava River (Moldova), where you have the possibility to drive a boat. In this tourist region there are a large number of marked hiking trails and bicycle routes. Two bicycles are available at the house free of charge. Ceske Krumlov, with its medieval center (13 km away and on the UNESCO World Heritage List), is a popular day trip. Or what about the castles of Rosenberg, Nové Hrady, Trebon or even the water castle of Červená Lhota? The monasteries of Vyšší Brod and Zlatá koruna; the fortress of Žumberk, and the ruins of Dívčí Kámen and Helfenburk are also well worth a visit. The last pearl of Czech culture is the picturesque village of Holašovice in South Bohemia. In Ceske Budejovice (42 km) there is one of the largest breweries in the Czech Republic, where Budweiser beer is brewed. In Ceske Budejovice and Ceske Krumlov you will find covered swimming pools. The Austrian border is only 10 km away, so you can easily make trips to Austria. Only 16 kilometers away lies the ski resort of Kramolin at Lake Lipno, which is ideal for families and beginners but also more advanced skiers. There are chair lifts. The slopes have a total length of 5.5 km. There is a special ski-run for children, a snowboarding park, evening skiing, a ski school, ski equipment rental and service and, of course, restaurants and buffets. During the high season a 3-day ski ticket costs € 42 for adults and € 29 for children (2005/2006 prices). Around the ski resort there are 45 km of well-maintained trails, but it is also possible to go cross-country skiing directly from the house. And after a day of winter fun you can eat well as this is a country where the food is tasty and inexpensive. In spring and autumn, when there is no snow, you can enjoy the many marked hiking and cycling trails. Ceske Krumlov, a city with a medieval center (13 km away and on the UNESCO World Heritage list), is a very popular excursion.
