Our home is across the street from a great city park that includes a Pavilion, Bar b-q grills, a Walking Path, Basketball & Tennis Courts, Baseball Field and large Playground. It is close to the Roanoke River where you can fish or kayak and walk, jog or bike ride along the Roanoke Green Way, enjoying the great outdoors. It is also Centrally located to Carilion Hospital, Downtown Roanoke, Roanoke Convention Center and much more.
Downtown Roanoke, with it's abundance of restaurants and activities, is less than 5 minutes away. Blacksburg and the Virginia Tech Hokies are only 45 minutes to the south and Liberty University, where you can watch the Liberty Flames play, is an hour and a half east.
Only a hop, skip and jump are the Blue Ridge Parkway, The Floyd Fest in Floyd, VA, The Appalachian Trail and many Civil War and Revolutionary War historic sights that are within a couple of hours driving distance. You have easy access to the whole of the East Coast on Highway 81 which is only 10 minutes away.
There is plenty to do in the area, especially if you love the outdoors. From hiking, jogging or biking the Salem Greenway, to Mountain Biking some of the East Coasts best mountain bike trails, to kayaking and fishing the Roanoke River and enjoying Smith Mountain Lake.
Even experiencing the abundant growth of Pickleball as Roanoke becomes a hub for it in South West Virginia, is readily available. If you would like to improve your game, our son is a professional player and offers coaching. Let us know if you would like this option.
The Roanoke River includes stocked trout, small and large mouth bass and blue gill. Right across the street is a CityPark with a playground, Baseball Field, Basketball and Tennis courts and a walking trail to enjoy with your kids.

Best access for the home is by car. There is a public bus line that comes through and Uber / Lyft are easily accessible. We have small driveway to the right side of home and free street parking in front of home.
