The lower level rental of Carole’s house is very nice as if it has been recently renovated. The decor is beautiful like an interior designer helped them “stage” the space. It was extremely clean & well kept. She offered to have her husband build a bonfire but we had a fully booked weekend and could not accept the offer but the remote setting on the edge of the woods would have been great for a night around a fire. The full size frig was nice for our beverage & appetizer party trays. The kitchen & bathroom towels were very plush and there is a nice vanity area in the corner of the bathroom. The space has floor to ceiling windows with shear valences at the top of windows along side the bed & living room area which provides beautiful sunlight; a sleep mask was helpful for my daytime nap since the windows do not have blinds to block out light. At night though, it was very dark outside being a somewhat remote location. They have ample parking space & their 3 dogs are extremely friendly.

Carole and James were very kind and considerate. The location was beautiful and very private. There are lots of windows without drapes or blinds and I thought this would be uncomfortable, but, it was actually very peaceful. The wildlife is amazing and we loved watching the birds, squirrels & bunnies in the morning. We travelled to help our niece move into her college apartment and Carole allowed us to use her laundry facilities to do all of her laundry and get everything cleaned from moving. The only thing missing was some type of ceiling fan or floor fan as we got a little stuffy at night but, I am sure we could have requested the air to be turned down a little for bed time and our host's would have , gladly, done so. I would highly recommend this location if you are staying in Union, MO. We will, definitely, stay here again when we travel back to Union during the school year.

Our stay with Carole and James' place has been very comfortable and homey. They are very accommodating and at the same time respected our need for privacy. It has been a pleasurable vacation for me and my husband. The house is very clean and conducive for relaxation. The wines are added bonus. Thanks for everything.

Loved our stay here. Carole is extremely great to work with, very understand and accommodating. Super super helpful, would absolutely stay here again!
