Wir verbrachten 4 sehr erholsame und entspannte Tage in Torre Vado. Trotz Januar war das Wetter sonnig und mild (15-20°C) und wir konnten die grosszügige Terasse und die schöne Aussicht in vollen Zügen geniessen. Wir machten ausgedehnte Spaziergänge am Strand, badeten einige Male im Meer (ca. 17°C) und genossen die schönen Sonnenuntergänge. Wegen der Jahreszeit waren zwar die meisten Restaurants und Strandbars geschlossen, es verblieben aber genügend offene Lokale, um gepflegt essen zu gehen. Die Villa ist sehr grosszügig angelegt, zweckmässig ausgestattet und mit viel Geschmack eingerichtet und dekoriert. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war herzlich und problemlos.

Villa Elena in Torre Vado is in a word - spectacular… and the location - perfect. We had midnight swims with the full moon across the street and day-time drives of between 5-20 minutes (depending on where) to some of Salento’s most wonderful beaches. 
The interior furnishings were gorgeous and nothing was typical or generic, a giant plus for anyone interested in interior design. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the whole house had AC everywhere to be used as necessary. The sunsets were incredible and we spent much of our time on the beautiful front porch listening to the sea lap against the rocks. The hospitality from Francesco (Sandra’s partner (she was away on business)) was incredibly helpful, kind and generous. I cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay at this property. And I give it my highest recommendation.

Gorgeous villa across the street from the sea (although water access is difficult on the rocky shore in front of the house). A short walk from grocers, restaurants, boat access, etc in Torre Vado. Beautiful Pescoluse beaches, delicious gelato, and much more are a little further, a short bike ride away. You will want to drive to many amazing locations and restaurants in Salento. The house is stocked with everything you need including beach towels, games, bikes, and a fully equipped kitchen. The host stayed in a separate apartment below the villa for part of our stay and was available to help with any needs. We loved the splendid front porch (with my favorite hammock), the backyard full of fig trees (sadly they were not yet ripe in June), and the big garden with tasty vegetables that the host let us pick. Only one issue: internet did not work for most of our stay, a problem as we did not have cell data roaming. A few days before our departure the host was able to get the problem fixed.
